  • New

    • A discord button was added to the already existing social media buttons in the main menu. Clicking on it will redirect you to the official Call of War Discord Server!
    • Furthermore we added all social media buttons, including Discord, to the “Community” tab in the “More” menu on mobile devices, as well as to the main menu of the desktop Beta-Client.
    • We’ve added the option to deselect units with a simple right click of your mouse on desktop. Additionally, you can now also deselect units by hitting the ESC key and close certain pop-ups within the game in all clients.
    • When changing any of the map filter options, these changes would not always be saved after the game was closed and reopened again. This has now been fixed so map filters will be saved and applied correctly after closing and reopening a map.
    Bug fixes:
    • A display bug was fixed that resulted in the recently introduced arrow head shaped movement indicators to be slightly offset. The arrowhead did in some cases not point exactly at the final destination of a marching order, but slightly next to it.
    • An animation bug was fixed which caused rockets to be displayed upside down once they’re launched and in the air.
    • A rare bug was fixed that could cause the top ranked solo player on a map to be declared the winner and earn the respective rewards after a coalition gathered the required victory points to win at daychange.
    • A bug was fixed which affected the functionality of the “last selected unit”-icon and caused an error exception to pop up in case the last selected unit stack was split into multiple units.
    • Several bugs on various maps have been fixed, including but not limited to spelling mistakes, incorrect flags, and road connections.
    • An issue was resolved that prevented convoys from displaying correct combat values. While planes in convoy mode for example are quite weak, they are not entirely defenseles.
    • In case an aircraft carrier was destroyed without also destroying the planes stationed on it, said planes would sometimes transform into convoys, even if an allied airstrip was within their reach. This has now been fixed so planes will attempt to relocate to a nearby airstrip. Should none be within range, they will sink to the bottom of the sea alongside their carrier.
    • Obsolete Terrain properties have been removed from the unit detail screen for naval units, as they’re only ever able to operate at sea.
    • An issue with the construction queue was fixed that hid the option to queue additional building levels of an already queued building, in case units were also added to the list.
  • General:

    • The path indicators have been adjusted.
      • Unit’s path indicators show an arrowhead at the end of each ground movement path.
      • The color animation of path indicators has been slowed down.
      • When a unit is in forced march mode, the color animation is set at a significantly higher speed to indicate that the unit is moving faster.
      • In relation mode, path indicators use the relation colors as primary colors for the pathing lines. In political view mode, they keep using the country colors for the path lines.
      • Unselected pathing lines are displayed in darker colors.

    Bug fixes:

    • Artillery that were attacked by an enemy unit did not automatically open fire on the enemy unit immediately. This has been fixed now. Enemy armies that dare to attack Artilleries, will have to pay the price now.
    • Provinces without a garrison did not show the uprising chance when the province morale was low. This issue was resolved, and provinces now show the exact uprising chances again.
    • When splitting up an army and moving some of the troops elsewhere, an error message could be triggered when the remaining troops of the split stack were selected afterwards. This issue has been resolved and no error message gets displayed anymore.
    • Coalition leaders will be glad to hear that their position within the coalition is no longer disguised in the coalition details anymore. The leader of a coalition is now displayed with the leader role in the coalition details again.
    • A bug was fixed that caused an error message to be displayed when clicking the full screen button in Steam. The full screen button is working as intended again.
  • Bug fixes:

    • When issuing aircraft with attack or patrol orders, the trajectory of the takeoff animation was not in line with the actual target. This has been fixed.
    • A bug was fixed that caused wrong “strongest against” information to be displayed in the unit details panel of some units. The correct unit class, icon and damage values are now displayed in the unit details again.
    • An issue was fixed that prevented the “forgot password” option from working properly on android devices. Email addresses can now be entered in the respective text field again, without the popup closing almost immediately.
  • General:
    • A toggle was added to the gold confirmation popup in the beta client that allows you to opt not getting the popup displayed again. You can reactivate the popup in the settings at any time.

    Bug Fixes:
    • A bug was fixed that caused coalition teams to be temporarily not visible when opening the coalition popup. Coalition teams are now visible as soon as you open the popup again.
    • Missing Victory Points have been added to some provinces on the “Saturday Madness” Event map.
      • This change only affects newly created game rounds. Running games are not affected.
    • An issue was resolved in the province list that caused the number of units being built to be hidden behind the construct button, when multiple buildings were selected on mobile. The number of units is now displayed to the right of the button, in that case.
    • A bug was resolved that caused the icons in front of the Top 5 players in the ranking on mobile devices to be displayed as simple dots. We replaced those unworthy representations of the top 5 players with shiny new ones.
  • Beta Client:
    • The province list in the beta client was improved according to player feedback.
      • The province list now remembers its adjusted position and size after reloading the game.
      • The province list can now be moved to the right edge of the screen, where it is displayed in front of any other element.
      • Listings of the same building type are now displayed underneath each other in the same column.
      • Sorting buttons have been added at the top of the building list.
      • The morale is now also displayed as a percentage number above the moral bar.
      • Icons for the morale trend and revolt chance were added to the morale column of the province list.
      • The map region filter was added to the list again, allowing you to only show provinces of a certain region.
      • Active rally point icons are displayed if a rally point is active.
      • Double resource icons are displayed in the province list and province bar again.
      • The performance of the list has been improved, to avoid previously experienced lag when a larger number of provinces was displayed on the list.
    • To switch to the beta client:
      • The button to switch to the new beta client can be found in the account settings. Once switched, closing the tab and reopening it will open the last chosen setting. To switch back to the old client, re-visit the account settings in the new beta client.
    • We adjusted the gradient effect for land masses, to make it less prominent for islands. This change will make islands appear less dark and makes it easier to spot them. No changes were made for bigger landmasses.
    • Upon opening your first rewarded ad after the update, a popup will open, asking you if you’d like to be shown personalized advertisement videos. You will be able to use the Free Gold for Ads feature regardless of your decision, but the displayed advertisements can be adjusted to show content that might be of more interest to you. The popup will not open again after a decision has been made. You can change the setting in the account settings at any time though.

    Bug Fixes:
    • A bug on the Saturday Madness event map was resolved, which prevented some urban provinces of Turkey and the Belorussian Front from having Victory Points assigned to them.
    • An issue on Android devices was resolved that caused the keyboard to overlay certain areas of the app making it hard to create offers on the Stock Market, write diplomatic messages, or participate in chat.
    • A bug was fixed that prevented clouds from being displayed on the map border frame.
