Attention Generals!

With Call of War's previous update, new functions to the Stop button and commands when upgrading or converting were added that allowed you to cancel Convert and Upgrade orders. In your feedback on the forums and Discord you provided us with valuable feedback that you were not happy about the introduction of certain behaviours. In particular, that the feature prevented giving commands once Upgrade/Convert were started. Especially with some edge cases. We therefore decided to revert this change.
It is possible again to add actions without cancelling the Convert or Upgrading process. These actions will then be executed after the Convert or Upgrading process is complete. The Stop command can still be used to cancel the actions.

Next to that, several bugs were fixed with this update. For example, non-ranged units will no longer add extra morale damage to a province when added to an army with ranged units after this army started attacking a province.
We also solved an issue that could cause players to be flagged as inactive right before the game ends. As a result these players would not receive any reward. Since they were marked as active just moments earlier, they also don't know that it will become an issue. To avoid this problem, Victory checks run before the Day change checks now.
Finally, we added more sorting options for provinces on mobile devices to make it easier for you to do province management. Some bugs related to the search functionality in games that occurred for some languages are also fixed.

• Attention General!

We have exciting news today! The popular 'World at War' map is now permanently available in a new version for you! The new '[Speed] World at War' map comes with a speed factor of 4x and allows for up to 56 in-game days of intense fights between up to 100 players!
Play in a coalition with up to five members or aim for the Solo Victory and dominate the world all by yourself.
Join the new [Speed] World at War now!

Parallel to the new [Speed] World at War map, several improvements and bug fixes were implemented with today's update as well. Game panels now inform if a map has a higher speed factor and the stop button also cancels Convert, and Upgrade orders!

Furthermore, the inventory system, which is currently available to a limited number of players on mobile devices, is now also available to these players when playing the game on desktop.

The list of bugs that were removed with this update is long in general. Armies that don't trigger war when moved to a neutral province center, rockets that return mid-flight when an airfield was destroyed or the chat becoming transparent every time it gets updated are just a very few highlights of the full list.

This update features various in-game bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements. We reworked the army details panel, so you can better see HP of your armies and resolved several issues related to ‘at war’ state. When attacking a province center you and the player under attack will be automatically switched from ‘at peace’ to ‘at war’ which wasn’t always the case in the past.

We also implemented a "speed icon" that is displayed on the preview image of event maps with a higher speed factor than the normal speed. Especially for events that have different versions with different speed factors, this will be handy to distinguish them.
Finally, we improved the text display in the marketplace menu for some languages and enabled previously turned-off notifications for diplomacy messages

• Attention, General!

The game has become more beautiful. We have updated the background art on the landing page. It now shows the current CoW 2.0 map visuals and UI design.

Once again, our bug hunters were busy over the last two weeks. It is no longer possible to queue two of the same building simultaneously. Instead, an error message will be displayed.
We also re-added the missing countdown timer in the pop-up tooltip for patrolling planes.

Attention, General!

We hope you all arrived in the new year safely and joyful! For the first release of this year we will continue where we left off. This release brings many bug fixes, and a small but impactful quality of life change to the army details window. Let’s get started!

We got a lot of feedback concerning the unclear HP levels of armies. You can now go to the Army details: there you will find a list of the units in your army, and their exact current HP value. This will help you make better judgments on whether your army is fit for battle, or whether it needs to return to the barracks for reinforcements!

We fixed the broken Spectator Mode. Use it to scout out map layouts and strategize before joining the map yourself!
Additionally, the split army dialogue no longer accepts decimal values. Units that were being split off via decimal value got stuck in place. We also changed the behavior of setting rally points at Sea. The rally point will now path along sea routes as intended, instead of drawing a direct line to the target.

We wish you best of luck on the battlefield!
