    Attention, General!

    Clad in heavy armor, a new opponent approaches! Based on the historical Churchill Crocodile, this fearsome foe excels at storming fortified positions and fighting unarmored opponents.



    This tank can take a beating and still push forward. Its front-mounted flamethrower disregards the protective embrace of fortifications and unleashes devastating hellfire upon unarmored foes and buildings. This makes the Flame Tank the ultimate weapon for breaching enemy defensive lines.
    But be careful when deploying your Flame Tank, it is weak against heavy armored units and air attacks. So make sure to give the newest addition to your arsenal adequate protection!



    The Churchill Crocodile variant will be available for allied doctrine players. All non-allied doctrines will have access to captured variants. Do not worry, they are just as lethal as the original and come with the same capabilities and stats!

    New Deployment Mechanic

    The Flame Tank also comes with a new deployment mechanic. It can not be researched and produced like a traditional unit, but instead will be deployed via new Unit Cards from your inventory. Unit Cards will be available as a reward for advancing through Operations. Besides the new Flame Tank, participating in Operations will also reward you with other units already existing in Call of War. For balancing reasons, deployment of units from Unit Cards come with a set of rules:

      • A minimum province morale is needed to deploy.
      • Once deployed, the unit enters mobilization and cannot move or attack for a while, just defend.
      • Unit levels will match the unit's research level in the game round.
      • You can only deploy units in your provinces.
      • You cannot deploy in provinces under attack.
      • You cannot deploy over units that are mobilizing.
      • Units deployed from Unit Cards must comply with the day of availability.
      • The day of availability is tied to the level of the Unit Card. Higher level cards are rarer, but also more powerful. For example the Flame Tank becomes available on the following days:
        • Level 1 -> Day 4
        • Level 2 -> Day 8
        • Level 3 -> Day 13

      The new tasks and Unit Cards added to Operations make this a rewarding feature for every player in Call of War. So if you have yet to give Operations a try, now is the best time to get started!

  • Release Notes - 2023-09-19

    Attention, General!

    In today’s update we addressed a number of bugs. Large army stacks will no longer have their HP value hidden behind the coalition flag in the army bar. Also, we fixed a bug that caused promotional pop-ups to appear more often than intended.

    We've also fixed a bug where converting units outside of a province would cause issues. Now, the "Convert" button will be hidden once a moving command is issued to a convertible unit and conversion won't be allowed if the unit isn't in a conversion area.

    Last but not least, we've fixed a problem where the settings drop-down menu wouldn't close when clicked again. Now, it will properly close when you click on it a second time.

  • Release Notes - 2023-08-22

    Attention, General!

    In this update we optimized the delay march feature. Now, you will be able to manually input a value to plan the delay time for army movements. This enhancement will give you more precision and real-time updates, making it an even more integral tool for strategic planning.

    We’ve also improved the strength value display in the Army Bar. It will now always show the highest attack or defense value available. Further we refined the strength value’s calculation, making it a better representation of an army's ability to suppress revolts.

    Lastly, we’ve been busy hunting down bugs. No longer will random armies be selected after you split up your previous selection.
    We also fixed an error message that occurred when moving armies that contained Flying Bombs, and the armor class of aircraft transports is now correctly displayed as unarmored.

  • Release Notes - 2023-08-08

    Attention, General!

    We improved the performance of the research window on mobile devices. Looking for your next upgrade will now be buttery smooth while you scroll through the research tree.

    We also fixed a bug in the Dominion gamemode that allowed spies to be placed in the player’s own provinces or in starting provinces. Attempting this now will produce an error message which can no longer be bypassed.

    Finally, we introduced a few improvements focused on streamlining your navigation. A reworked filter now ensures the "Produce > Manage > Production overview" menu only shows options for ongoing constructions/productions. And if no constructions/productions are ongoing, the filter will not be shown at all.

  • Release Notes - 2023-07-25

    Attention, General!

    We are excited to announce the launch of the new production flow feature! Some of you might be familiar with this already, as we tested the new feature for quite some time already.
    The new production screen makes managing your construction and production more convenient by letting you start research, queue pre-requisite buildings and produce units all from the same screen. Check it out now by playing Call of War on a mobile device!



    With today's release we are also happy to announce that the new Operations feature is also available on desktop now!
    The Operations feature provides you with short or long-term tasks you fulfill while playing the game. With this feature now being available on mobile and desktop, we are focussing on adding more nuances and tasks to your Operations - Stay tuned!

    Furthermore, we have fixed a bug where the chat could be spammed with duplicate "Whisper" tabs when clicking the same username repeatedly. With this fix, only one Whisper tab per chat partner will be visible, enhancing the usability and organization of your chat conversations.

    We also fixed a bug that caused stealth units to take the most direct path to their destination, even if that led them through neutral territory, risking war. Now stealth units will correctly path around neutral territory between them and their destination.
