  • Quote from freezy: “Quote from K.Rokossovski: “Quote from DoctorDR1: “There has been no morale update in the past couple of months. ” Well, there was a "bug" fixed about a month ago that made revolts not happen at all anymore. ” That bug was fixed in May 2020. Afterwards we did further changes to revolts in June and July, basically lowering revolt chances and making it easier to suppress revolts. Since July no changes to revolt mechanics have been made. ” Heh well, perception of time is a weird …

  • Well, even the naming of the new, appearing state is the same as it is there... "Austrasian revolt" and all that.

  • Quote from KingVarchasv: “. A new country named 'original country revolt' will be created. ” Lol, you wouldn't happen to be a Crusader Kings player, would you?

  • Over the years, there have been many suggestion threads about "disbanding units". In general, I used to agree with the (apparent) developer's viewpoint that this issue wasn't very important, because units would (a) auto-upgrade to new levels, and (b) when damaged, could be merged with other same-type units to get back (almost) full-strength, up-to-date units. In 1.5, both these mechanisms have been abolished. After one or two weeks of fighting, players are left with groups of heavily damaged and…

  • It used to be in the list of countries under diplomacy. I agree that it is useful, especially when trying to completely destroy an AI player so his units disappear... a few times already, I found I "forgot" some remote province and had to deal with rampant AI stack for a while more while sending units to the forgotten prov.

For a seaborne invasion, the preferred entry point is an undefended province. So yeah I agree, there wouldn't be much point to include them as "fights very good when landing". A shorter disembarcation time would be useful though.

  • And as an advice to players having to deal with this... THINK before you take capitals! Don't just rush into them whenever you have the chance, take them as shortly before day change as possible, preferrably AFTER you conquered the rest of the country... the moment you take a capital, ALL your provinces will get a 10% morale boost, effectively preventing rebellion in ALL the provinces you took earlier in the day. So if that means, standing right outside the undefended capital city center for man…

  • Quote from DoctorDR1: “There has been no morale update in the past couple of months. ” Well, there was a "bug" fixed about a month ago that made revolts not happen at all anymore. In general, I agree that the AI's response to fast expansion is on the hefty side by now. Rebellions may not have changed, but the advanced AI declaring on you as soon as you have any shared border (after you've been doing some decent expanding) is getting quite ridiculous: 1) on gameplay level, because you can not lea…

I played mostly land-locked nations in 1.5 for some reason, but having 60 planes around day 15 is pretty easy to achieve on the 100p map as well (given a swift and steady expansion) . I figure putting the carriers and their escorts underneath at the expense of the big continental land armies wouldn't be too hard either.

  • Quote from whowh: “Quote from LincolnMateo: “Doolittle Raid is a great example of Tactical Bombers ” You may want to know the Doolittle raid was Strategic bombers. ” Yes, but the planes were written off after the raid cause they could take off from the carriers but not land on them again... it was a propaganda success, but in terms of "losses taken by both sides" it was a disastrous defeat.

All points I was just about to type, Last Warrior. A wise post indeed. Sailing a strong carriergroup into a place like the Mediterranean or the Phillippines/Indonesia/Chinese Sea region can be a deadly blow to an enemy. And carrier bridges are SO useful, especially between America and Eurasia/Africa... I wonder why so few people use them.

  • My unit set is: Mot inf medium tank SP arty tacs, attack bombers, fighters 2:1:1 submarine I found this to work for all doctrines since it fits my play style, on big maps and often doing quick rushes. All sorts of foot troops are too slow to keep up then.

Quote from DAMINATO99: “oh, again, sorry, I'll translate it for youthe problem is that we don't mind betraying, but we don't mind being betrayed ... ” Yeah, that one is quite familiar. For all the "destroy your own buildings" suggestions from people being overrun, no one seems to realize how irritated they would be if their opponent actually used it.

Quote from VorlonFCW: “ Roko, you shouldn’t have wandered off for so long, you missed a few things. ” Well, this is not really a common event... you have to be like twice as strong as the rest of the coalition combined, it doesn't happen that often.

Quote from Last Warrior: “No, coalition with single member still need coalition points to end game. Coalition member with enough solo points, is not eble win while his coalition has not enough coalition Victory points. Coalition and individual have different thresholds to win... when you pass the individual threshold, YOU win; when you pass the coalition threshold, you win together.

    1) The need for this has indeed increased since (heavily damaged) units don't merge anymore in 1.5. It is a very old suggestion, but there seems to be some problem on the dev end. Same for disbanding units, btw; we are currently stuck with heavily damaged units which are useless but keep eating daily supplies. 2) The terrain is actually displayed quite clearly in the client? 3) This is already available if you take a subscription to High Command. Devs need to eat, you know. 4) A nice suggestion,…
