  • Game lenght limit

Yes, there's an end date, something like 45 days on small maps, maybe more on large maps? I can't recall exactly. If you're on PC you should be able to find it, maybe back on Day 0 in the newspaper. I'm not on PC so can't verify, unfortunately. I tried and couldn't find it on mobile. There's also a limit of 14 days of being the only player before stats and achievements stop counting, so if you're truly alone that clock might be ticking too. Just kick out your teammates and have fun for as long a…

  • Idk if it's OP--without the expedited follow-up attack, splitting stacks at the last minute would be the norm, and that'd be miserable.

  • Yea to be more clear I was thinking of the 60s delay vs the 30min delay before next attack, not that you could have an instant attack. My instinct is that land units always have to wait 30 minutes, I just haven't ever tested it specifically intending to find out. I'll try to pay more attention to see if I can confirm.

It's a forum and we're the nerds that post here, I don't think it's quite that serious. He's just an asshole, not much more to it than that. Shrug and move on.

  • I think I've accidentally identified another circumstance in which upgrading units will cancel their upgrade despite not being directed by the user. I had a unit upgrading on a province owned by my enemy, while another unit headed towards the province center. I wasn't watching when it happened, so I can't confirm with 100% confidence, but I believe the act of capturing the province automatically canceled my other unit's upgrade. Thankfully it was just one unit but hopefully this is something the…

Quote from jubjub bird: “It may not be anytime soon, though, because I doubt it's high up on their priority list. ” Quote from Fox-Company: “You overestimate their priorities. It will be atleast 3000 years before they fix the Diplomacy unclearency ” Do I? Regardless, that's why I was hopeful that pointing out "hey this is shitty and scammy and you're an asshole if you do it" would have some effect, but clearly not.

I'm sure they're aware of this tactic and I'm pretty confident they'll change the interface to reduce instances of scamming like this. It may not be anytime soon, though, because I doubt it's high up on their priority list. In the meantime we'll just have to put up with frequent scammers.

And there are many others like him doing this on a regular basis. The past few 50+ player maps I've played, I've probably gotten an average of 2 of these scam offers per game, half the time accompanied by some clear lie like "I'm leaving you can have my resources." It's obnoxious and annoying.

Quote from Erecon: “someone that trades with them ” Now you're just lying. The issue is not trading with people. No one here is criticizing you for making legitimate trades. It's even possible to convince someone to trade you all their resources when they quit the game, so it's not like we're criticizing that exact circumstance. We're criticizing your tactic of firing off bullshit trade offers to multiple players on the map, hoping that one of them will be new enough or naive enough to accept yo…

  • I think we all agree that people like Erecon are scummy but can we please chill out with the strings of multi-quotes

Lol "people accept for all sorts of reasons"--are you lying to yourself or just lying to us? You know why this tactic works, and it's not because a bunch of players just decide to accept out of the goodness of their hearts.

  • Quote from Brando Dilla: “Quote from DxC: “... ” I usually play as any doctrine except Comintern, and I find that Allies and Axis doctrines are best for mass LT production.Allies gives you earlier and faster researches, as well as production bonuses. Axis gives you stronger units in general, and you have LT access on Day 1. Pan-Asian is definitely more suited for Mot. Inf and ACs than LTs. ” Ugh I was going to stop, but once again you're just literally incorrect. Allies and Axis both give you LA…

  • Quote from DxC: “Quote from 6thDragon: “Getting units to merge with a stack that is already in combat is not an exact science. ” This is one of the things that really turns me off about CoW. This stupid unpredictable behavior when reinforcing stacks in battle. They need to fix this. ” Yea this topic is probably worth its own thread. I have some theories about what circumstances lead to undesired attacking by reinforcements but haven't tested them.

  • I won plenty of games with light tanks when I was a noob (both in 1.0 where they were actually good and in 1.5/2.0). I don't despise it. I'm just telling you and others that there are better strategies.

  • Comparing wins doesn't prove anything, but I guess we can do that if you want. You're welcome to search my name.

  • Quote from Kolonnos: “OK, let me say this back to you... At the moment the reinforcing MTs arrive (between Tik 0 and Tik1), there isn't any combat; rather, the defensive value of the extra MTs is added to the defensive value of the other MTs, and the new total defensive value is used at the next 'tik'. I imagine that, for the defending player, the same principle applies regardless of the various stack compositions. What about extra attacking units?... Let's say some extra attacking units arrive …

  • Quote from Fox-Company: “Okay, good for you, you have an opinion, i have facts, think what you want, I'll think what i want. ” Lol you've presented nothing but opinions, and when presented with facts (like allied vs PA LTs) you hand-waved them away.

  • Occasionally there are exceptions, and I have a few theories for when they occur, but in general adding units to an existing stack in combat will do just that--add them to the existing stack, where they'll continue doing whatever that stack was doing. If your medium tanks are defending and the light tanks are attacking, adding a medium tank to the stack will mean that next time the light tanks attack, you'll have more HP and defense. (However, in this case you want your medium tanks attacking an…

  • This is like arguing with a child. I'm not even sure you understand what I'm saying so I'm just going to stop. Congrats on the win. Hopefully anyone that comes to the forum looking for advice is able to understand the flaws in your thought processes.
