They're prolly should be some kinda limit for machine learning AI tho; it would completely ruin small maps, turn games in WW1 style trench warfare since AI would learn defensive, static positions are the most cost-effective method to not die against bigger opponent Quote from jubjub bird: “Another unrelated idea could be to give AIs an economic advantage to make up for their strategic inferiority, like cutting all construction and production costs for AI by 25% or something. ” Wayyyy too OP Imag…

Nice guide Add stuff about planes; early game 5/5/5 stacks are killer, and 10/10/10 stacks are downright ugly. Also slight criticism; in theory, all these sound good, but practically, doctrine and your core resources matter a whole lot more, especially early game and mid game. These stacks only occur mid to late game. Again in naval vs naval battles convoys are OP: stack them with your fighting fleets and you can double the stack's HP for the cheap cost of 10 militia that you had no use for (alt…

The experiment isn't local for a reason; I want to test to see if the neighbours' popularities would affect troop positions, diplomatic activity, aggressiveness, etc. I might still do what you mentioned, but a lot of the data is subjective, except I suppose number of troops, number of builldings, but then still it is hard to judge the "quality" of each unit, since each unit has a different cost per unit, damage output and SBDE.

Quote from TheZhukov: “They are secret weapons so NO ” Ngl, but this isn't really an argument... Might as well have just said: "Why is the sky blue?" - "Because clouds are made of water " I think that the question that is asked is fair; even thought rocket artillery is in the "Secret" tab, it's cost per unit is actually comparable to that of artillery (slightly more expensive if we switch around RM with goods and goods with food). It's available on Day 2 (except Comintern, which is Day 1 tech, d…

Wasn't entirely sure where to put this, 'cause it is an experiment to test out the limits of AI countries in CoW. To be fair, only reason I'm doing this is because I have exams, therefore can't seriously play CoW, so I wanna do something useful (debatable) while I slowly lose my mind. So here's the gist: - I'll be playing as Mexico in HWW, the most inactive world map; only neighbour is the USA, so gotta make sure I'm friendly with them. Otherwise, I'll be left to my own devices. - Will be doing …

Unit upgrade
PostQuote from K.Rokossovski: “No one would build the high level unit anymore, everyone would build the L1 and upgrade it. ” To build this further: with the way upgrade system works, it is so so so much cheaper and faster to spam a bunch of L1 units, research that unit up to L3 or L4, then upgrade all existing units. If the above system was implemented, changes would have to be made, perhaps mandating the end of the upgrade system as a whole. Also it'd be hilarious to watch, especially with Allied a…

Showdown
PostI mean, 1944 Endgame already exists...

Honestly, as Spain in HWW, I got for a high-risk high-reward strategy. First, invade Portugal (nothing too fancy bout that except you'd better get Japan or China to take Macau), then ally with UK, USA, and/or Germany and invade France. More than VPs, it helps you strategically so that you can then use the North African colonies (there are quite a lot VPs in North Africa compared to the rest of Africa. As Undaunted mentioned, go for defensive troops, but also keep some mot. inf.

Quote from Undaunted: “Quote from _Pyth0n_: “Hmm ok so I thought about this some more, and this is what I could brainstorm: Allies: American/Pan-American/Union - All the Allied N. and S. American countries except Canada and former European colonies British/Commonwealth - All of the Commonwealth and British Empire countries, perhaps including Holland, Denmark, Portugal, etc. French/Continental - France, Poland, Czechoslovakia, French colonies, etc. Axis: Reich/German - Germany, Hungary, Bulgaria,…

I sorta agree with the distance penalty thing, but I mean, all you have to do is build your capital in the "middle" of your country (don't put it in the complete middle, it should be in the middle of your core resource base). Regarding expansion penalty, I feel just removing or reducing it's debuff in core territories would do the trick; maybe further reducing it's penalty by like 50% would work, perhaps?

Probably since it was allied territory; the game can't register you as entrenched but just "parked" in their territory.

Yea, bit unclear. When I first read "deep learning", I was assuming you were talking about the behaviour of AI (sorta evolving over time kinda came to mind, but to be honest I've no clue what deep learning actually is). What's the auto colouring of images gotta to with this?
