  • Quote from Claudio NVKP: “Well, there was another glitch of planes going beyond range before. Funny one. ” I was hit by that one. Had a bunch of planes on carriers. Tried ungrouping the carriers and the planes decided to fly around the world for six hours before I got them back. Good times.

  • If you look closely, you’ll see there are two units that use to be in that stack that are now dead. My assumption is that one of those two units are capable of ranged attacks and were killed since the last ranged attack. Once the count down reaches zero, it will disappear.

  • I believe that is cease fire. It’s rarely used and you need to have been at war for it to even be an option.

Quote from Destructo the Great: “shortest victory was retiring on day 3 ” I don’t consider retirement to be a victory. You waste days playing the game to get to that point and lose out on the potential for any kind of real challenge in the mid to late game.

Quote from Carking the 6th: “BTW AI still do build capitals sometimes! ” I’m not going to say you’re wrong, I’ve just never seen an AI rebuild a capital.

  • I was thinking, virtually every time I start a map, no matter where on the map I start, my largest most pivotal naval battles always appear to be around the Red Sea. This is for the 100 player WaW map. What is everyone else's experiences? Where do your game changing naval battles take place?

  • I'm pretty sure I've fired on stealth units based on spy reveals before, but it's been a while. It was just bizarre because the sub had been sitting next to the battleships for close to a day then suddenly shooting happened.

  • I'm in a game where another player is shamelessly attempting to buy a win...common experience, I get it. One of my partners suddenly had a stack of level one battleships open fire on his level 3 sub. There were no destroyers or naval bombers around. The other players apologized and explained that it was set on aggressive fire control. The only way this makes sense to me is that if he did a gold reveal. Certainly possible. Are there other possibilities that I'm missing?

Another possibility, with this situation, is that the alliance with one player outside of the coalition could betray their in-game partners in the late game as well. With that in mind I can understand why Bytro is reluctant to make judgment calls.

Yeah, I agree. If they're smart, it's probably impossible to prove they joined the game together. It says: "You may join a game round with a group of players that exceeds the maximum coalition size but you need to play the game as if you were not allied." These are clearly alliance mates playing as if they are allied, but I suppose that is still dependent on if they joined the game together. Again, probably impossible to prove.

I'm currently in a game where two alliances have been cooperating since the beginning of the game. Together they have six members when the coalition limit on this map is five. They've created a coalition and one player has simply not joined but is still actively assisting his alliance mates. Looking up Bytro's definition of Wolfpacking I see this: 1. Joining a game round with a group of players that exceeds the maximum coalition size of that map and playing cooperatively. You may join a game rou…

Quote from ender611: “will aggressive setting fire on countries with shared map who are not part of coalition ” Aggressive fire control just prevents you from attacking countries that you have either ROW or Map Share with as the relationship status you have them.

Quote from ender611: “how does it know who is pissy. comon help me out! this friggin 'return fire only' doesn't work either. I used to be able to pass right through the enemy. frig ” By coming into contact with them, you’ll engage them in melee. If you engage them in melee with the “return fire only” setting on, you’re still engaging them in melee. If you’re at war with them, you cannot pass through. The fire control only really has an impact on bombarding.

  • When a game ends

Each map has a victory point criteria that either a coalition or individual needs to satisfy to win the game. At the day change after this threshold is reached, the game will end. Your game experience must be different than mine. I often find that the game has been decided long before the victory threshold is reached. Only once, in an AvA game, did I feel the game could still be interesting after the point it ended.

  • Quote from jubjub bird: “Idk I think a coalition of 5 players spamming out as many heavy tanks as they can would be pretty fun haha, no ranged units required ” I seem to run into these coalitions often enough. Many new players are obsessed with tanks.

  • Quote from jubjub bird: “I dunno if I'd call them "good" but they're certainly powerful and can be fun to use ” If we're talking about stacks that are fun to play, one of my go to stacks with Commies are to pair 5 each SP arty, SP rocket arty, 5 SPAA, also including two ACs and TDs. You can shoot and scoot all day without much fear of anything catching you. You'll be able to pound about anything you encounter away into oblivion, you'll have enough AA value that only the most determined air playe…

Quote from TheZhukov: “I recently tried a massive frontal militia assault in a clash of nations map Awful results my k/d dropped by 0.3 and i left the game ” Militia are not frontal assault troops. Just the opposite actually.

  • I'll try later. I've been unable to upload phones in the past. Could be operator error. But my description is pretty clear. Game number is 7,041,412. I also see one country that I'm at war with, it shows me in the diplomacy tab, but it doesn't show another player they are also currently at war with. Mine are all accurate; currently showing all five countries.

  • When I look countries up in the diplomacy tab under the "at war with" section, many countries are showing as zero even though I can tell in the newspaper that they are currently at war with at least one other country. I wonder if one of the recent fixes caused another bug. Looking at myself and one or two other countries it looks accurate, but for just as many other countries the number shows as zero and is obviously wrong.
