Enemy pathing
PostUsually the very long enemy paths are due to an 'intell' report from a patroling plane. If you patrol over a moving enemy, then move the planes somewhere else, the entire future path of the enemy will be shown.. This is discussed in other threads.

Artillery bug
Postseen this bug a few times, also, with both arty and naval gunnery, enemy units move within range and idle units do NOT fire (and no, not using HC glitchy fire control.)

a real war game
Postthe advocates of farmville take first place. the proposal was for an ALTERNATE game with emphasis on tactics and military logistics. there was NO intent to replace the current version of CoW, which is primarily building, popularity, morale (don't stray too far away from Washington, DC), spies, R&D. The actual combat is an afterthought. Consider this: How long was CoW in existence before an "Armies" menu was added? That Armies menu still does not include the most important information: they types…

completely agree. the worst case being when the planes are carrier based. Finding carriers is no easy task , review the movie Midway to see how important that is. another surrealism with planes is that after they uncover a moving unit, that units forward path is displayed. In one case, a submarines 2 day journey was revealed in this manner.

In game intel?
Postit might include spy reports, if the espionage shows a "reveal all" spies do not have to be in the capital to get a reveal all.

a real war game
PostMILITARY logistics starts with the distribution of troops, equipment and supplies to the engagement zones. Managing factories is NOT a topic at the Command and General Staff College.

a real war game
Postfactories are part of a LONG term investment. Infrastructure (on CoW 1.5) has a minor improvement fpr units moving thru a province. neither is applicable to a war game that lasts a few weeks.

intermittently good, still reverts to the prior washed out scenery most times, overall a a wasted effort that could have been used improving the game play.

a real war game
PostI always prefer the maneuver and combat activity. Others may like the building and development, most of the complaints about CoW 1.5 are that combat has been emphasized over building. My response: Well, duh!CoW is a war game, isn't it?" So my suggestion for a Beta game, entirely separate from CoW and the rest of the series: Why not try making a real wargame, where the espionage, research, morale, market, popularity, buildings and sundry accessories are replaced with the real crux of warfare: Log…

1) the 'free' units have nothing to do with R&D. 2) seems like you are asking about healing units - which is a paltry 1/7 of the damage every day change. It has often been suggested that moving units back to production facilities should increase the HP faster - but no joy on this suggestion. <If you were asking about province morale healing, it is about 10 every day change, that is, a province at 25 morale will go to about 35 at day change, slight dependency on moral malus such as distance to ca…
