Quote from You-Know-Who: “I thought there is sth calling the army strength ” There is. It’s equal to the unit’s highest damage output value. Take a minute to compare a few in your current game. A few examples from my current game, a single lvl 1 axis rocket arty has a strength of 6, this is the value of its offensive damage to unarmored units. A single lvl 1 axis interceptor has a strength of 6.9, this is it’s attack value against aircraft. A group of three lvl1 axis naval bombers have a strengt…

Sounds good in concept, but you have to understand the scale of what you're recommending. I commando unit represents just that, an entire unit; battalion if my memory serves. A battalion is a lot of troops, considerably more that WWII submarines were designed to accommodate. I understand delivering smaller teams of commandos to do specific tasks, but those tasks aren't reflected well at the strategic level with the current mechanics of the game. I would think that's closer to spy features. You c…

Quote from You-Know-Who: “I know they all needed to be researched in games like WAW. ” I would urge you to reconsider this opinion. I play WAW somewhat often and I usually just pick a few and specialize them out with researching advanced levels. You're better off having a well-considered flexible army than you are having a little bit of everything. The amount of resources you'll spend just in research would be remarkable. However, it also helps to keep an eye on future opponents so you can adapt…

Quote from Carking the 6th: “Not to mention the competition between various parts of the German military which pulled resources away from each other. Chronic problem. ” The US had it's own rivalry between the army and navy. It went beyond resource sharing. At the beginning of the war, army units often lacked the basic ability to communicate with naval ships and planes at the tactical level. Regarding sending replacement troops to units with depleted ranks, this always made more sense logisticall…

PostQuote from Ustache22: “NOBODY ASKED FOR THIS UPDATE. ” If this is your opinion, you probably haven’t been paying attention. I think this is one of Bytro’s better decisions. This is a WWII strategy game and RRGs played practically no role whatsoever in that war. They shouldn’t be the dominant unit.

At the most basic level, under the current system, a veteran unit will always be outclassed by a newly formed unit if they've taken any damage at all. This is the part that I find so idiotic. Being battle-hardened should mean something. In all seriousness, Bytro would do well to revamp this. I remember back when I played my first call of war game, and realized how nonsensical it was, I almost didn't play a second game. If Bytro spends money on advertising and if they can't convince players givin…

Quote from Zaktty: “Quote from Talvisota: “a) It's spelt FINNISH b) Guns n Roses aren't metal Just starting this up again for lolz ” a) I can't control autocorrectb) Yes they are, just ask anyone from Spotify, Geffen Records, or even the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, classified as Hard Rock/Heavy Metal ” You realize by replying, you’re encouraging him, right?

PostIt depends on the resource and point in the game. Food and metal are often more expensive and oil and rare are the cheapest. Goods can be expensive early but gets more reasonable later. AI are the ones who do most of the trading. So usually you can find good deals start to appear on days 4 and 5 when the AI starts to take over for players who went inactive.

To add to this point, the amount of health recovered on your own territory is totally unrealistic for non-core provinces. Consider recently conquered territory, those units essentially become armies of occupation, which would not be well suited for integrating transfers into a unit, helping troops decompress from battlefield stress, catching equipment up on routine maintenance, or generally recovering from infections diseases that were rampant in those conditions. Better to link health recovery …

The man (I assume) has a point, there is considerable historical precedent for this; especially on the US side. Troops in the European theater were taken off the front line to integrate replacements. After the Guadalcanal campaign, the the US 1st Marine Division took heavy casualties and were sent to Australia for rest and refit to bring themselves back to to strength. I can relate in game as well, especially in AvA games where your troops are on an alliance mate’s territory for considerable per…

Quote from Zaktty: “Quote from russ_russ1: “I’ll win any irl boxing fight against anyone here ” Sorry, but @6thDragon is a former marine. ” Wow, this is a long thread. I've got two daughters, that's a big enough daddy for me. Actually, I tried boxing and struggle to adapt. Back when I was a young Marine, I was also a kickboxer. So I have those instincts in addition to my experience with the US Marine Corps martial art system, and was an embassy guard on top of that so have extensive experience w…

You guys have a different definition of cursed than me, but in my current Team Up event game, my "partner" who logs in once a day is racing me on forced march for my supply drop on a small AI's territory. He's been sending single units at this AI for the last day. It's literally all he's done. He's built nothing, but did use a unit card as soon as he logged on for a Mot Inf. These are the type of players I would usually eat, but since this is a team event, I can't.

Not really. Several reasons, but the most basic is why? Deploy each where they are needed. Attack bombers should be targeting enemy armor. Is it smart to group them with naval bombers to target ships? probably not. However attack bombers do have surprisingly good attack value against ships and can be used for that purpose in a pinch. Plus consider the speed and range differences. Interceptors are fast, strats are slow and have long range. Your interceptors won’t be able to actually intercept any…

I’m a pack hunter, I love the team aspect of Call of War. To me there is nothing better than the thrill of taking on other teams of good players. My favorite win to date was my first Alliance World Cup game. These are 5v5 on the 22 player map, with three days of peace. My alliance had yet to play an alliance using the alliance challenge feature and we got paired against an alliance that got 3rd place overall two years earlier in the 36 alliance gold/card checked tournament. It wasn’t pretty, in …
