light tanks
PostI use them heavily as pan asian, in the early game only as axis, very rarely as comitern, and never as allies.

Depends on the doctrine.

Tank Destroyers
PostIt all depends on the doctrine, but here is my opinion. Allies: yes axis: no Comitern: usually anti tank will do the job but sometimes you might need them. Pan-asian: if you meet an active heavy armor user you are going to be in trouble. Either these, attack bombers, RRgs, or imo the worst option* anti tank *anti tank is theoretically a good unit for pan asian but it is in the ordinance tab, so making these will limit the production of a better anti heavy armor unit, artillery.

Yea it's just personal preference for most units so I would only strongly disagree on light tanks and battleships. LTs and MTs perform the same job and one of them is buffed and the other is nerfed, so MTs definitely are a better pick. I still make a couple LTs day 1 when I am waiting for the MT research to finish. Fleet in general is usually not the best idea but this is especially true for Axis. There just isn't a need for battleships, you already have subs that are amazing and that is enough …

Here is my tier list for all of the units in the axis doctrine. Here is some clarity on the letter grades. (the pictures are of allies doc please disregard) S. very strong unit, recommended to build heavily in all/ virtually all games. A. Good unit, should usually be part of your build order. But there could be other viable options. B. Tier is for optional/niche units. you aren't going to lose because you built these but there are (usually) better ideas. C. I don't recommend these units. they co…

Quote from mindfields: “Looking at the update this rewards highly aggressive players and actually benefits Axis the most. First day won't be the problem until a player finished using their starting resources. At that point your army will be 1-2 units smaller than the old economy. The ratio of new units vs Starting units is now smaller so starting unit strength becomes more important & Axis has more powerful units overall. second factor is the reduced manpower requirements. Whenever I play axis m…

Those "recently buffed HTs" are still sub optimal in most cases. The problem is that the docs with HT buffs (axis and comitern) are the same ones with MT buffs. Axis will be just fine with the update because their early game units can still kick everyone else around, and late game they have MTs, SPAA, rocket fighters, and RRGs.

Experienced players: please correct me if I am wrong. But here are my initial thoughts Let's take a look at the four doctrines and see how they are affected by this update (ranked by my previous preference) Pan Asian seems to be the least affected here, as their units aren't inherently weaker/stronger than average, so having less of them would not seem to be a big deal. (They do have less HP but usually deal more damage so it's close to a wash). I am not sure how the update affects early game ru…
