Quote from AleksanderZ: “Quote from 6thDragon: “Quote from Goliath Coconut: “R.I.P goods and rare resources sure you were the two most useless resources for me personally but you will still live in my heart... ” Those were the most valuable resources. I’m not convinced we are talking about the same game. ” Unless you’re Kim Jong-Un, there’s no reason why you need (large amounts of) Rare Materials. Goods on the other hand... surely you don’t expect to win a (competitive) game without arty and pla…

Troop healing
PostQuote from CROgamer: “So I can have the troops in the center or on the pathways but just within the province borders? ” Anywhere within the province will do. One thing to keep in mind, only troops in the province center will prevent a revolt. If you’re in the province and it flips at day change, you don’t get the heal. Also air units are a little different. As long as they’re based out of one of your air bases, they can be anywhere…patrolling over the ocean or an enemy.

Your solution omits the advantages booster cards provide. It’s certainly an easy solution and it would eliminate the need for GOs to do gold/card checks in competitive games. Just with the time that would save their volunteers, if that was something Bytro would consider doing, I think they would have done it by now.

Quote from RookOnzo: “We will see how it plays out. ” Wait and see all you want. The outcome is obvious, but I'll concede the time of death is not apparent yet. I think there are some good aspects to this, but I think they are overwhelmed by the bad. On the plus side, this will make the game start faster, many new players are turned off by the slow pace of the first day or two of the game. This will certainly help with that. I've heard Bytro say this will level the playing field against heavy go…

Is an air stack with 10 interceptors, 10 tactical bombers, and 10 attack bombers a good air stack?
PostIt certainly has its pros and cons. On one hand, it would be expensive to build. But it would be flexible too since you’ve built interceptors, tactical and attack bombers. When I play allied doctrine, I usually focus on primarily interceptors and tactical bombers. I would also work to get more, but that would depend on the opposition on the map too. That also depends on your activity levels. I find tanks easier to deal with on the ground. Unless you’re dealing with large stacks of light armor, a…

Quote from Talvisota: “Jesus Christ Bytro, I'm impressed. Less gold is such a w. ” You see less, I see more under a different name. Because everyone gets the same amount and it doesn't carry over from map to map, this will just have more players using it as it's gold that's actually fair use. However you can still use gold to buy more of it. So it'll make it harder to identify players using gold to buy this new resource. Imagine in a current game, you see an opponent heal their troops back to fu…

If I'm reading this correctly, these new war bonds will not carry over from map to map. Will they be allowed for use on skill-based maps that are Bytro approved to be gold-free?

There is a template for the 22player map at x10 speed. I’d like to try one, but they never seem to come up when I would like. I suspect the times ten speed would not be for everyone. I suspect the beauty of it would be you could start one when you wake up and be fine with it before needing to sleep. But at that speed you would need to have little else competing for you time.

Quote from BladeFisher: “Yep. Mininum usually 30 days if you stay to the end and you are not a goldfnger like so many are these days. ” I would say average is more like 14 - 16 days. Longest one ever took me was 18 days and that was with a North America start. But I’m highly active and typically start with a few alliance mates.

Brazil Map
PostGood point, and I don’t suppose Antarctica did either. Yet some like that map.

Brazil Map
PostThis is a WWII era game. Brazil and South America had no WWII battlefields. Seams a little out of place.

Embarking bug
PostIn my last two games, I have been hit with a bug. I give a unit embarking orders and as soon as it starts to embark, it returns to the city center to do disembark (or so the countdown timer says). Once the timer counts down from the city center, the unit is free to move again, but it essentially locked in place until the time reaches zero.

Pan Asian is my favorite. Look at their doctrine bonuses to get an idea. I never build mot inf with a pan Asian, their ACs are best in the game, better to use those for scouting and raiding. Save your food for regular infantry, which is also best in the game because of the doctrine bonuses, especially when in forests. Their arty is good, but not good enough to skip rocket arty, which deals twice as much damage to unarmored units. Don’t build AA either, their interceptors are great. Don’t bother …
