Quote from Geden: “That is somewhat the point! We do want to offer new experiences to our players. I empathize though that in recent months the change of pace has been very high, especially compared to our previous pace when it came to releasing gameplay/balance updates. ” Introducing a new thing is fine. But what I don't get is: why scrap a perfectly good concept and needlessly dumb down? The last few updates offered new experiences which made the game more challenging and more compexl. This is…

Quote from Komrade Khrushchev: “@Geden. Should we call this Call of War 3.0? ” Just call it Supremacy 1914 at this point. Remove planes, ordnance, and secret weapon tech trees to "shake things up" and "increase strategic thinking". Can't get more strategic than RISK, which has one resource (manpower) and one unit (soldier). Anybody who thinks goods or rares are too complex or strategically bad can play supremacy 1914, if they want simple.

Hi, thanks for making this a post, although I think it's plagiarism to take someone's idea and run with it uncredited. But seriously if they do this why not just take out a tech tree at this point? Let's say get rid of tanks and ordnance. That would make the game simpler and they could pretend it would make it more fun like removing the resources. Five resources and six tech classes is a perfect combo. Each tree is dependent mainly on one resource and uses the others. It encourages strategy this…

Quote from Undaunted: “How can you spam 10 units in 1 min without war bonds. Are you kidding ? ” True, but you can't keep that up indefinitely, it might take days to save enough, and you can't do that if you don't have the resources on hand. At present, with war bonds at a fixed rate, there's a limit to how much people can do with them. And it would also be just as expensive as normally, since war bonds can't buy resources. That's unless you buy war bonds, but I don't see how war bonds make payi…

NOTE: THIS THREAD IS A CONTINUATION OF: 1991 Role Play (Original Thread) Quote from AleksanderZ: “**NOTE: THIS IS JUST AN IDEA FOR NOW UNTIL ANY CURRENT FORUM RP GAMES END AND IF WE GET ENOUGH PARTICIPANTS** Here we can discuss ideas about planning the roleplay, including what bloc nations should be in, landgrabbing issues, bloc balancing, etc. I'm going to put down people's names here who want certain nations, although nobody's locked in just yet - everyone has an opportunity to sign up for the…

Quote from Phillip Bosley: “To me, it sounds like Bytro is really out of touch with their playerbase and fan community. The fact that they released this update without ANY community polling or discussions seems very out of the norm for a video game. Most major gaming companies ask the players for feedback/suggestions BEFORE they actually implement the feature. ” "We, the inventors of chess, have made an important change. From now on, we will be removing the bishops and knights from all games! (w…

Quote from Geden: “Feedback Wanted! ” I think that any update should ask the following: - What is something about the game we could do better? Could it be more fun or more fair? - How could we go about making it better? - Would these actually make the game more fun or more fair or otherwise better? Hence: - (Why) was this feature actually needed? Did it work? Apparently, Bytro believes this game would be improved by removing resources. Call me naive but they presumably aren't actually lying to u…

It's wasteful to research everything, new players will do this but it wastes resources. Research only what you build; build only what you research. At risk of stating the obvious, each unit serves one or more roles. An army needs most or all of these roles to function, but not usually more than one unit in each role. So, for your field army you will usually need a scout unit, a cavalry unit, a mêlée unit that does decently against each armour class (these could often combine light armour and hea…

PostBeing allied with Nationalist China or Brazil etc. in Historic while in relations mode looks nice though. The green looks like the actual jungle and forested mountains common in those countries.

I was thinking of doing a Tibet playthrough but looking at how good this is I might have to do something a bit different. A Poland survival horror round, perhaps. Or Australia. Keep it up, I'm enjoying this playthrough. I'm curious to see how long you will survive though. One nitpick though: Quote from whowh: “ With a larger military, the Dalai Lama laid sights on Nepal and Bhutan. As buddhist states, they should welcome the arrival of Tibetan forces... ” To the best of my knowledge, Nepal is ma…
