Is this different from what you have seen? Yes, The unit actually relocated in (the reported Med Sea event but NOT in the other 2 happenings - Which were visual as I have just seen another visual event). In the one I sent a picture of, 2 Destroyers and 2 Subs were at the point/apex you can see (Basically track back from Destroyer Position and 1 of Subs to see where all 4 units were). Somehow, 1 Sub jumped westand took almost an hour to head back to the point it was at before turning north to be …

No it isn't visual, their journey time/travel time increased as a result of the jump to a new location. My submarine above took best part of an hour to get back to where it was before turning north.

However, it just happened again and that Icon said I was connected to server, but I wasn't splitting units, merely redirecting them to head west, which they will do once they get back to Gabes that they were just north of and now are east of it at the coast. Oops

Playing game ID #3181941, for the 2nd time I have noticed units relocating as result of splitting them. 1st time I thought my eyes were playing tricks (too much cider?) but now in coffee mode I have captured an image of the standard 2 Destroyer & 2 Subs being split. Destroyers going SE (which is correct), 1 Sub heading west (also correct) but the other Sub is having to said east to where the split happened before heading NE as instructed. For completeness, 1st instance was at Souk El Arba when o…

I was playing Historic 1939, 2922628 and noticed that around the southern 'crossroads' in the Bering Sea I could no longer select units. Initially, I couldn't redirect my Submarine, then the Convoy, which I could control, was no longer controllable but the Submarine, and the Convoy, both returned to normal once they were North or West of the crossraods (since Sub was heading S to N and Convoy E to W).

But it does remind just how Sneaky, sorry Stealthy, the submarines are.

Quote from Steve_The_Tyke: “I think 3 days is fine - except in one particular instance. If two nations have raised a coalition flag and one of them doesn't have anyone in their Coalition, then when that sole Nation lowers their flag, they are prevented from joining for 3 days but they haven't actually had a coalition nor are they betraying anyone - it basically was a none existant coalition, or an aspiration to be leader of a Coalition. Happened recently to me. That said, the relaxation on tradi…

The classic B&W movie "The Cruel Sea" shows how difficult it was to detect Subs & for that matter, even destroy them when you had. Convoy losses were rarely down to solo subs since the Wolf Pack (a targetted and coordinated attack by multiple U-Boats) became the favoured approach. Blethcley Park cracking Enigma, Lorenze etc gave the allies a way to fight back but reality was, without lack of aircover mid Atlantic, convoys were in peril since their escorts were rarely front line Destroyers but ol…

Quote from FUNGUS_TE_FIRST: “no like they are built in squads. operate together etc, so naming is a bit complicated, you'd need to name like 5 ships everytime you mobilised them. ” They operate in squads but are built individually. If I have 2 Carriers and say 3 Battleships at present time in a Battlegroup, each will have its own name since I was rompted for a name prior to construction. The game offers a name, normally (always?) a province I own and I simply enter what I want.I typically name C…

Thin/feint grey lines for roeads = No Infrastructure Black (slightly thicker) line = Lvl 1 Infrastructure Twin Lines (Motorways, Autobahns, Interstates etc.) = Lvl 2 Infrastructure Railroad tracks/Railway lines = Lvl 3 Infrastructure. Each increase in Lvl improves Morale, travel speed through province, and importantly Resource Production

Quote from FUNGUS_TE_FIRST: “carriers and battleships are single ships, while the submarines etc are groups, ( think) ” They are all built as a Single Unit - and I would never let an Aircraft Carrier sail as a single ship - made that mistake once and it was sunk by a solo Lvl 6 Submarine controlled by AI - So just shows, Submarines especially aren't always grouped.
