  • Quote from Ryan04px2025: “I guess there is a lot of similar suggestion on this. For many of the COW players, I believe that the bots are already a bit too smart and it is the thing that makes the game great. ” The AI in general is pretty capable but they have no idea how to counter air or ranged units. They just sit there and let their units dissolve. Otherwise they can hold out for at least a bit.

  • North Ural is severely underrated, two rares + two oils and a good starting condition near the sea and good targets around you

  • Quote from straw-hat: “artilery, anti tank, anti air put 5 of each in same stack with light tanks to take provinces quickly and there is almost no battle you can not win. ” Sprinkle in some infantry as well so enemy infantry doesn't immediately shred them and then it's pretty much perfect. WW1 tactics end up working better than WW2 ones in a game about WW2

It's honestly outrageous our righteous demands are never met. I'll add another really cool idea to your list, which is make every country with German textures get a 100% combat bonus because Germany is the coolest and bestest.

  • On the 100p map or 22p map? On the 100p map North Ural is a country I like that not many play. 2 rares, 2 oil, pretty safe position, and a decent amount of targets. I don't play the 22p map much but I remember France being loads of fun if you are good with diplomacy.

  • Quote from _Pontus_: “Quote from Dinkleburg441: “Kinda have a mixed opinion about the update so far ” You positives:- Faster early game <= ONLY IF ATTACKING. For the cocooning bubble builders it is extremely slow. - Specialized cities, allows for more advanced strategic planning <= COULD IT BE WE ARE TESTING A DIFFERENT GAME EACH? I looked hard, but there is nothing advanced or strategic about it. You can't do anything else but develop 1 city 1 way and the other the other way. There is NO planni…

  • Kinda have a mixed opinion about the update so far Positives: - Faster early game - Specialized cities, allows for more advanced strategic planning - Unit levels don't upgrade automatically emphasizing research more. Although I suggest adding an upgrade button to existing units or a button to disband units to free up upkeep - Combat as a whole is a lot easier to understand and faster in general Negatives: - Units and unit levels are thrown out of balance quite heavily, TD's seem more powerful th…

  • Quote from BMfox: “Quote from Dinkleburg441: “Strategic bombers. They are good for scouting I guess but that's about it. They are way too vulnerable to interceptors and cost way too much to actually be used for strategic warfare. ” The strategical bomber is the best unit to destroy fortifications and industrial complexes. Of course any bomber needs to be escorted by interceptors. ” Well yeah, but Interceptors don't have enough range to actually do that. By the time your interceptors are in range…

Quote from Boozo: “I agree, strats are almost never used so it may help...however, in real life their goal was to "destroy their production lines" but in this game, we don't want to do that, because that may be our future province. ” Not in the late game. When it's two superpower blocs just fighting it out it's usually better to try and wipe them as quick as possible. Early and usually mid game I agree though.

A unit that's pretty notably underused (and probably rightfully so) is the Strategic Bomber. In the games I've played (20~ so far) I only saw it used once and just as a singular scout because of the range. Theoretically, and historically, the Strategic Bomber should be a powerful but expensive unit used to disrupt your enemies production and cripple him as you destroy his armies. This was used to great effect during WW2 by the Western Allies, German production was hampered significantly due to c…

  • Depends on what I'm focusing on a game, which also depends on my resources and starting position. A favorite of mine for dominating the seas is focus entirely on infantry, and then go ham on naval forces. In a game I did as the Philippines I held the Pacific against a coalition (3 players were fighting me, 2 others were in the Atlantic) that controlled all of the Americas because my navy was so far ahead. Another strategy I've heard but haven't tried out much is focus huge on the airforce and ha…
