Quote from Butter Ball Bill: “Yup. But it brought Russia from the third world to the first. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. Anyway, it wasn't communism, it was Stalin with his gulag's and such. ” Interesting Bill, I myself am not a communist. However, I am pro-union, pro-worker, and typically a moderate statist. In the U.S. I am either a moderate Democrat, or a pro-labor Republican depending on the election.

Quote from Emperor Lelouch: “Quote from itsDeems: “Agreed, especially because the Nazis and the Soviets were terrified of him.So much so, I believe there is now a theory and book that Stalin had Patton killed. ” ......this isn't true.... when German Generals were asked what they think about General Patton their answer was.."Who?" ” Emperor, I understand you have preferences that run contrary to Patton and his European war. However, some of the things you say are good revelations on history - and…

  • Quote from Butter Ball Bill: “What if it is a GM feature and you can choose what type of country you want to play? Might be good for RP. ” Bill I like the GM feature on this, and choosing/locking in to it. What are your thoughts on a buff for each type? Regardless it's good for RP given the timeline, agreed.

Quote from BjorniXL: “ItsDeems, just one thing, basically I like your ideas to put the effectiveness of paras down (sorry for bad english ), but why 3 hours of disembarkment? I understand why they would take long to embark, but to drop from a plane should usually not take 3 hours. ” Bjorn, Paratroopers had to re-coordinate after landing (if they even could) before moving. The three hour disembark shows their drop, landing, and reforming.

Quote from TankBuster: “It would be a stronger alliance that 'share map'- i support this, but i swear Victory points are dictated by the map you're playing ” Yep, yep. Especially for the big games, co-ordinating share-maps and messages alone...think the time (and redundancies) this could save for more casual players.

  • Quote from Sandevot: “Obviously, the answer is yes. Tell us more ” I'm not arguing with you online. If you like communism, get on a plane and go visit the USSR. If you like socialism, get on a plane and go visit Nazi Germany. Oh...wait. I did - I broke my ideas down in to individual threads so the community can respond to each.

I think this idea could be in-corporated in to my game-specific alliance proposal. Both are problems, you've got to repeat yourself...and then you forget who needs to be told about x...and...*sighs* If we had game-specific alliances this could go hand in hand with that. Goodness knows it's exhausting as it stands currently.

I am curious if specific-to-each-game alliances have been considered? It seems like this would increase activity. Being accepted could bring auto-share maps, etc. with all members (leaving takes them all away). Plus, you could allow for increased victory points to win for teams (i.e. a standard X instead of 400). Which would allow for people not in teams to still win. Quick summary: - Auto Share maps - More victory points to win - "Group" chat? Anyone who plays with a lot of allies knows exactly…

Maybe just buffing some stats at most?

Quote from Butter Ball Bill: “So you want a militia that is more expensive and harder to make? ” I tussled with this one myself. But, militia seem to be almost made for colonial states (and desperate people losing a war). And, the capitol explains their special police training too. But where we depart from militia is in the glass cannon - if they buff morale, which makes historic sense, then we have something very different from militia. Something different really then any unit in game - a unit …

    Post

Police Anyone who's played HoI knows about Police. I completely agree with them as a unit, tailored to CoW. Police should be available from the capitol only, due to their unique training. Police should have low offense, low speed (slower then inf.), and low defense. Perhaps also buff morale building speed? So, what we are talking about are glass morale building units to subdue provinces we've taken. Capitol training will limit their amounts, meaning spamming will be hard. Thoughts?

Digging this thread, because of a re-route from the new one. I personally, deeply, dis-like paratroopers as a game unit. However, I also am for realism. Here's what I propose: - Add them as more expensive then inf., weaker then militia. - Do not let their res. tree go fast (keep them weak) - Avail. from Day 1 (however, aircraft dependent?...so... ) - Easy to shoot down - 3 hour embarkment/disembarkment Paratroopers were weak, easy to kill units that were heavily recon and espionage reliant. So m…

He treated captured enemy troops and his troops alike. He refused to kill commandos. He was deeply anti-Nazi, and followed the Prussian battlefield laws/code of honour. ” I agree with you both, he was in the pre-Nazi (and anti-Nazi) Germano-Prussian tradition. One t…
