It depends on your play style. Don't consider AA, use SPAA, until you play tournaments when you don't use SP at all anymore. But if you're not very active, you will need some sort of meat on those stacks, like TD, MT, or mech.inf. When you ARE active, you should be able to evade your enemy anyway.

Believe me, they know the opinion of the majority of the players. They just need to keep chimneys smoking and the marketing guys think this is the way to do it, so this is how it happens. No matter how many petitions are signed by the Pope or anyone else.

It has evrything to do with Bytro wanting players to start as many games as possible... without bothering if they actually play. Yes, dropout percentages are dramatic, and we spend more time fighting AI than actual live players.

It was (is) part of a Bytro operation to allow coiners to hide better. Flame tanks (and a bit later, amphibious tanks) were super-OP units given out both in paid card sets and "free" for achieving in-game goals. It was succesful at first when honest players actually used the free cards they earned, but they quickly turned into a red flag, like advertising yourself as a coiner when you use them now.

There's also an issue about stealth units. When both sides can't "see" eachother, no combat is initiated, and the province doesn't change hands. The attacker can just wander off on any road. When the defender wanders off, the attacker still takes the province, although I think he needs to initiate some kind of movement for that.
