I was thinking about if the game made certain actions that you could do with your units to change the course of battle. Like with the Naval Units. Here are a few examples.

Infantry in a losing battle. You need to send reinforcements in there quick. Press a fire control or attacking mentality button and put it to defending, where the units won't cause as much damage but won't take as much damage, buying some time.

Ground troops in a winning battle. You have places to be, provinces to capture. You press the same button and put it to aggressive, which has as you can guess the opposite effect as defending. This can help the battle go faster when you need it.

Artillery attacking a province. Make it to when there are no units in the province they're attacking they automatically march in.

Interceptor going to scout an area. Press a button for them to engage on any enemy units in sight. Or have them turn into suicide bombers and lose the units but turn out extra damage on the enemy.

Also, I know you have upgrading, but if you have an "assign official" part of the game, where you put Captains, Generals, Lieutenant-Generals, etc, on a unit and it increases it's strength, that would be good too.
