Do you think adding navy air carriers would make the game better? 8

I have been playing this game for a month or so now and I have made a mental list as I have been playing this game. Towards the end of the war, Germany had created Jetplanes(although not many). That would be cool if jetplanes could be added into this game. I think it should be added as a secret technology, along with it needing to be researched at a later in the game. I like that there a fortifications( reminds me of bunkers), it would be great if there could be flamethrower units. Lastly, I think there should be naval carrier units as a kind of "air base" for planes. If I think of more I'll post it as well. What do you guys think? Any thing else to add?

    • The discussion of naval carriers or "aircraft carriers" can be found throughout the forum. I like your idea of flamethrower units, but what if you just had heavy machinegunners as units? They'd be able to mow down tons of infantry and would be a nice replacement to light tanks in the early-game.

They already are, look at the later types of aircraft being used as fighters and tac bombers by the Germans.

As for the flamethrower and HMG unit, those are just silly. They are already built into the inf units as it is.

    • Infantry units are aprox regiment sized (1000-1500 men). So a special combined infantry type like 'combat engineers' or 'sturmpioniere' could be feasable. It would not be just flamethrowers, but also demolitions, and specialised vehicles (brumbar, sturmtiger, churchill crocodile, sherman calliope etc).
As i understand it though, this type opf unit would not see much use, as fortifications are not all that strong anyhow.

An aircraft carrier could be usefull, and would be realistic to add.
What if I'm indoctrinated and actually fighting the good guys?
    • Aircraft carriers are coming, but are under remodelling.

As for HMG units, most British infantry sections (8 men) had atleast a Vickers MG, which would be the HMG in theory.

Jets planes make up the final levels of the Fighters, and you have rocket fighters.

Flamethrowers and demolitions played a big part in WWII. Both sides (Allies and Axis) used them. For example, the wehrmacht used them in 1939 against the Poles during the invasion. They were used by the Germans for urban fights and uprisings. They could do great structural damage and deadly in close combat(cities, urban areas, confined areas). The flamethrower was also incorporated into tanks. Flame tanks were used by axis and allied alike. Italian and German flame tanks saw much use in the North African theatre. Americans would attach flamethrower units to sherman tanks. Whether used as a unit or a tank, they could be incorporated a branch off of the infantry or a secret tech. Flamethrowers could do increased damage against structures as well as infantry. Demolitions were used widely as well. The allies would sneak soldiers behind enemy lines to do damage to their structures and such.
