Usually what I've seen it is no one that gets notifications from the Coalition messages, that's something that can be tho suggested to devs as it still are messages and should be shown.

Sometimes they are, sometimes the aren't. I didn't see any logic in it so far.

You should see a number displayed next to the coalition icon when you received a new message in the coalition chat. The number will vanish though once you click on the icon.

Can you all confirm if it is working or not working anymore? And since when?

For new coalition messages, all I have ever seen is the number appearing in the regular message button, the second one with the three people on it. I don't think I ever saw a number on the coalition button (4th).

The 2nd button is only working 30% of the time, not working 70% of the time, since a long time (months), maybe even since coalitions were introduced.

Sorry got that wrong in my previous post, when you receive a coalition message the number appears next to the diplomacy menu, like when receiving normal messages. I just tested it and it works correctly.
