    • Coalitions and members

      1. Is it possible to attack member of the same coalition and take his lands (being still in the same coalition)?

      2. They say that "coalitions can't win together - only Teams in Team Games can" - is it true?
Better to be servant in heaven than a monarch in hell
... besides there is already monarch in hell and he will not tolerate usurpers.

      No.

      Yes. And no.

Any time only three players remain in a game, you will be given the option at the time of the next daily update to retire the game. All three players must agree, and each player must toggle the "retire" option in the in-game newspaper when it is presented. If your coalition/alliance has four players, you must either engage in a death match, or one of the four players may agree to go inactive leaving only three active players.

On the other hand, any number of team members may be part of the winning team in a team game. The down side of formal team games is that you cannot remove a team member, even if they go inactive or start feeding information to your enemies. You're stuck with your teammates for the duration of the game, so choose wisely if you decide to play a team game.

    • ..good coalitions play together..
      Supplement to "coalitions" >>

Clever coalitions with more than 3 members can also via exchanging provinces, due to calculated conquests, or also by "friendly wars" among themselves supply the needed victory points to one chosen member, then it doesn't matter how many coalition members or other players are still active to end the map.

If a map has a winner by victory points, then all still active players receive gold according to their victory points - and at the 50-player maps also the fourth and on the world map even the fifth get additionally a fixed reward.

    • One thing wasn't said:

While players are a member of the same coalition they cannot attack each other but leaving the coalition solves this issue. Leaving a coalition should not, automatically, require a change in cooperation or collaboration with the other members.

The game does not care who is or is not in a coalition when it comes time to Retiring or winning via VPs.

If a coalition member goes inactive, and the Game Admin won't remove that player, the other coalition members could form a new coalition that excludes that member.
