I had a thought.
You march up to a province with a mixed inf/armour stack. You shell the enemy till they are dead, then advance one inf to capture your inf-cap province. The same stack then reforms and moves to another province. Here they do the same except for the final capture, a single AC detaches itself and captures the second province.
Is that a rule violation? If not then what's the point of the rule?
