    • Was banned for multiple accounts please help

Hello, I was banned recently for having multiple accounts. While this is true and i do have multiple accounts i dont do any real games with them. I just like to play games against myself. You can look at the games that each account has been on. Almost all of them were created last night. I like playing the game but not online with random people. It just isint fun for me. There are 9 accounts being banned and it says I can only keep one of them. If you look at the game that they are all on I even disabled the anti-cheat so this wouldnt happen and so it wouldnt be ranked. Ive never done a real match against any real people with these accounts just played against myself. If i could get these accounts back so I can finish that game i started that would be great.

How does one say "mental masturbation" in German?

Struck per Jewbear's comment below. (Apparently, not everyone shares my sense of humor.)

    • Montana, not funny mate. Also, creating more than one account, FOR ANY REASON, is a rule break of the Terms Of Service you agreed to when creating your account, if you dont like these rules, you are not forced to use the service that enforces them. Please remember this when making your case to WiseOdin, my superior.

ToS strictly prohibits multiple accounts per player.
Be honest, WO: Did you read the COW Terms of Service before you became a moderator? I know I was a forum participant for at least three or four months before I looked at the TOS for the first time . . . .

Obviously, part of the problem is that some (probably, most) newly registered players do not read the TOS. If anything, they will look at the player's manual to better understand the game dynamics, tactics and strategy, not the TOS. And I say that as someone who agrees wholeheartedly that multi-account cheating is a very real and detrimental problem for the community, but it is also clear that the senior administrators are struggling to deal with the workload created by non-cheaters who are using the same wifi or other network in a timely manner.

Perhaps it's time to get a little more pre-emptive help from the Bytro Labs home office. Might I suggest, at a minimum, that there should be a pop-up for newly registered players and forum participants that briefly explains the multi-account cheating rule, and the anti-cheat options, in a sentence or two, with a direct link to the full policy. That would at least partially alleviate the work load of the admins who are tasked with trying to separate the sheep from the goats.

I might also suggest that the same multi-account explanatory pop-up should be placed at the top of the player's manual and the terms of service, as well as appearing when new players register for the forum.

    • I actually did read the rules before becoming staff; but I'm my own case and a bad example.
Most players know the rules without reading them. In most MMO's, multi accounts are always prohibited. As any other case, ignorance of rules is not an excuse. I've never read up on the laws regarding armed robbery, but I can surmise it is not allowed.

I've brought up the idea of having a window pop-up to the higher authorities in the past to warn players about multi accounts, and will do so again to see if it can gain any traction.

Agreed. But the administrative workload is not being created by actual multi-account cheaters, but rather by students, family members and others using the same wifi or other network. If you could eliminate half or more of them with a pop-up, your life as an administrator would no doubt be an easier one.
    • I got banned because of your confusing rule before now this guy is banned because of the same issue. I have 1 question.

If having multiple accounts under the same internet connection is banned why is there a Anti-Cheat game for Multi-Accounting??. @WiseOdin if your friends or family play under a different internet connection that is not Multi-Accounting and there doesn't have to be a Anti-Cheat system. Or can Anti-Cheat be on the same internet connection but on a different computer or phone so your friends and family can play.

There are not anti-cheat games for multi accounting.
I'm very sorry that you were unwilling to read the rules:

4.3 Each Participant may register for and use one Account only. Registering for and using multiple accounts is strictly prohibited (so-called “multi-accounts”). Breach of this clause may lead to the immediate exclusion of the Participant from the game.

4.4 No legal claim exists for the creation of an Account and/or for participation in the game and the additional services.

This is not "confusing," if it is then you should have an adult read the rules for you and explain to you that having two accounts is multi accounting and not allowed. Arguing different angles will not change the rules. The rules are there to protect other players from those whom want to cheat and play abusively. If you were unable to follow the rules and thus lost your account, we have no legal obligation to give you your account back. This is a service and we reserve the right to refuse service based on our ToS (Terms of Service).

    • Thats not what is being said here, IF its family, or a group of friends at school, it shares an internet connection, so you turn the Anti Cheat off. But thats not the only way we can tell a multi account. If you are busted using a multi account, with or without the anti cheat on the round being enabled, you will lose the accounts. Period. End of Story.

I was banned because me and my friend used different accounts but with a similar name, I don't usually look at my emails so that was why I didn't answer . my name was hilter3 . I'm also not able to login to my email on that account
So you have two issues here: First in the same game were players hilter2 and hilter3. Each was sent a message requiring a reply to explain the connection.

Secondly It is clear from our game rules we do not allow the promotion of National Socialism or their key actors in the game chat, forum or games,http://forum.callofwar.com/index.php?thread/5-chat-rules. You were sent a separate message requiring a name change.

These messages were sent both to your email and to your Call of War message system, so you would have had a notification when you opened the app. As you did not reply within the given time you were locked out of your account.

I see that you have now replied to the email, so your reply will be handled in due time.
