Can anyone give me some guidance?

Wiping out the AI, or players with years of experience and the same level as I am, who still throw heavy tanks through enemy controlled airspace is loosing it's charm.

The gold is nice, but I'ld rather pull out a credit card, than waste my time claiming VP's against mindless opponents.
