    • Air base damage

      Hello guys!
I have a question about aircrafts.
Example: An airplane is patrolling a territory or attacking an enemy city/unit from an air base.
If this air base gets damaged while the airplane is on mission and the airplane can't land on any air bases in its range, what happens to the aircraft?
      Thanks.
    • Frequently the planes will return to the airbase they last flew out of and turn into a convoy truck on the ground.

Occasionally they will switch to an alternate airbase. Usually they will if it is in the "green " patrol zone of the plane. Sometimes they will find another airbase within their range. I am not sure exactly what conditions must be met for them to switch, but perhaps someone else knows.

    • Once an air base suffers damage such that it drops below a 50% completed L1 air base, any aircraft units patrolling from that base will be forced to return to that base in the absence of any working air bases within their patrol range. Once they are on the ground, the aircraft unit's icon will change from an aircraft to a truck, meaning that they are now a ground convoy and they must move to a functioning air base by ground travel before they can fly again. Aircraft in a ground convoy are extremely vulnerable in a ground convoy state ---- the respective hit points of fighter, tactical bomber, naval bomber and strategic bomber squadrons drop from 20, 25, and 30 to 5, meaning that rockets and air attacks can kill grounded squadrons 4 to 6 times more easily. This, of course, suggests a variety of tactics to kill enemy air squadrons.
