Rocket fighter is a non-used unit. I recommend that the rocket fighter be able to intercepted rockets level 2 and
3 (this would also correspond to the speed of the individual units).
Rocket fighter would then have better use. Level 4 rockets cannot be intercepted in any way.
    • Duuuuuude. Me 163 rocket fighters could fly roughly 560 mph (900 kmh); V-2 rockets had a terminal velocity of 1,790 mph (2,880 kmh), and they were coming straight down. Moreover, the rocket fighter sucked as an interceptor; they killed more of their own pilots than the enemy. The likelihood of a rocket fighter, or any other WW2 aircraft, successfully intercepting a ballistic missile during its terminal descent was ZERO. It would still be a long shot for a modern jet fighter equipped with the best-ever, fully automated, self-guided, anti-missile missile to make that shot.

Yeah, rocket interceptors use rockets for propulsion. They don't actually intercept rockets. Level 1 is basically a airplane with a warhead and rocket engine instead of a prop engine and wing mounts for ammunition(wish the game reflected that, but it treats it like a stupidly bad ballistic rocket instead). Level 2-4 are ballistic rockets, capable of hitting targets on the other side of the world if they had the fuel to do so(obviously they don't). The chances of shooting one down is nil, with ANY WWII era weaponry. It simply aren't accurate enough, fast enough, or precise enough to shoot down a ballistic missile at the terminal phase of attack. Even today, there is only a select few systems capable of successfully intercepting and destroying a ballistic missile(especially an ICBM), all of them being land based SAM systems which are not mobile in the slightest(The Patriot missile system takes something on the order of hours to set up and break down camp)
    • When you see Rocket Fighter you are actually looking at an early jet fighter with mechanical controls.

And like Montanna and Nova said: You can't intercept a ballistic missile with a plane now, why would you be able to do that 65 years ago?

It was a pulse jet engine, the pulsing gave it its distinctive sound.

How is the game portraying it badly? Most of them got shot down during war anyway.

... It's an airplane. Not a unguided ballistic rocket. It can be steered in mid-flight, so even if it can't return to base, it can switch targets if need be, and can track a target. Currently, the level 1 rocket serves no purpose but to make it really easy to get a ton of high level rockets, which are far more useful(more range, higher damage, can hit surface vessels, and with level 4, ignores the bonus of fortifications). The level 1 rocket should be a separate unit from the rest of the rockets, given the change that made the rest require level 2. It makes no sense to change those 3 when the level 1 can still be built at level 1 airports...
    • the V1 was never an aeroplane, it could not be steered or controlled remotely. it had a gyroscope and a counter to determine range landing within 20 kms of it's proposed target.

It was the first of the Vengenance weapons hence V1 whilst the ballistic level 2-5 is the V2.

What you are talking about is a modern day cruise missile.

By your logic the Light Tanks serves no purpose but to make it really easy to get a ton of high level medium and heavy tanks.
