Any thought to introducing paratroopers in similar fashion to commandos?

Yeah I can guess what will happen when they are released... a lot of newbs will start sending the paras to drop behind enemy lines only to have the transport plane shot down by interceptors... then they will complain in the forum...

The paratroopers should be in the game, it was a historical unit.

I naturally keep reserves inside my core regions to repel surprise attacks, Id think Infantry supported by light tanks would be an effective counter.

I think its a good idea, but they dont have to be commandoes,
different to infantry and commandoes, they perform well on all terrian/( besides plain) and strong vs infantry and light armour, but weak VS heavy and medium, and effective VS AA and Arty units,
make transoprt planes, so you can drop commanodes and paratroops
this is either going to end up getting with people getting destroyed in the game, or its going to be great,
maybe they shouldnt be able to drop from Carriers

maybe a similar mechanism for getting planes to travel on the ground could be implemented for paratroopers leaving an airstrip. vs dedicated transport aircraft

Paras are a hybrid infantry unit that acts as an infantry and travel using planes when on the airstrip, we don't need to spend a seperate unit for the sole purpose of transport, it's automatic."Victory needs no explenation, defeat allows none"
