      In my own experience the newspaper often does not include all of the units that may have been lost in a multi-unit stack, but it will always report the complete destruction of a stack, and it will always precisely report the personnel losses of damaged or destroyed units in its casualties count, even if it omitted reporting the destruction of the individual units. And it is precise: if a 65% combat effective artillery regiment is destroyed, the casualties will be reported as 650 (65% of the 1,000 men of a 100% combat effective arty unit).

      It is actually no bug. With a recent patch we introduced automatic landswap when you conquer the core province of one of your coalition members back from the enemy, as was announced in the news. This swapping is then reported as trade in the newspaper.
