How should I run a coalition I create?

Hey guys, I am having a tough time, keeping the members of my coalition actively communicating to each other, and playing together using our combined force. I guess I just need a few pointers on how to effectively run a coalition, and what you guys like when playing in a coalition.

My best suggestion would be to find those that communicate, and play with them in future games. You could also try third party messaging to stay in contact.

If I create a coalition with unfamiliar players, I usually try to make it a rule they communicate or they don't stay in the coalition.

What I do is I encourage them to communicate and coordinate shared fronts. That get's them talking, and once I show how good a coordinated front is they start coordinating their own.
