Whats the point of starting with a cruiser ship in Antartica?

    • Ummm recon on other people's cruisers? Or protection from enemies that might go around the map, specifically to hit behind your line (around your core)

Outside from that, it might simply be the the ship your troops took to the beach head or protected their convoy, there?

      In other words, it's useless

    • That's exactly the point! The art is to get rid of it as soon as you can, so you don't have to spend the upkeep anymore!
When the fake daddies are curtailed, we have failed. When their roller coaster tolerance is obliterated, their education funds are taken by Kazakhstani phishers, and their candy bars distributed between the Botswana youth gangs, we have succeeded.

The cruiser was your escort to Antarctica. Now that you have arrived and have set up camp, your first mission will be to dispose of any evidence that you are not native to these lands. In other words, allow the cruiser to be destroyed by the enemy. good luck commanders, and do not loose any men to the weather.

Those loose men just wander everywhere 8o

Killing that cruiser was one of the first things I did in the map. I started off duking it out with my neighbor's cruiser. Sadly, I won so I had to park next to his province until he got sick of it and hit it with arty. So, I suppose it tied up his arty for a while, that's a plus.

    • I keep my cruiser. It's maintenance is too insignificant to worry about. And I can actually tell it to sail to places and look around. It took about two weeks for it to circumnavigate Antarctica in my last match. Not much else to tell.
It seemed like such a waste to destroy an entire battle station just to eliminate one man. But Charlie knew that it was the only way to ensure the absolute and total destruction of Quasi-duck, once and for all.
