    • Obligatory pause of the playing, and hospitals for units.

      Two things !:
      1. Introduce a mandatory break in the game, eg for two days or more. The game stops and waits until the end of the break. This is to be able to relax from the game and be able to function normally in the real world, each of us knows how it can be troublesome when we constantly have to think what is happening on the map. I suspect that in this way there will be less resignation from the game. The break should be established from the beginning of the game in its assumptions so that it can not be changed and should be compulsory. I write this because I already deleted one account and in the last map I had a victory in my pocket. I deleted my account once again to cool down.

      2. Hospital. There is no building for the healing unit, it's about morale.

Sorry, has been discussed and it is not going to happen because CoW is a real time strategy game. Real time means that the game happens whether you are online or not. Sorry about that.

    • To stop the game seems impossible, because some players need a break and some didn't. Some are from the US some are from Syria different timezone, different holidays. Hard to agree than.

BUT would be nice if we could switch to an autopilot mode! I know that I will be busy in the coming two days and no access to the game. Now I have high risk that I will be out of game as return (inactive player is an easy target even with good army as well). But if I can can switch autopilot in, than my (at least) troops will be managed by a computer (elite AI?) not a great defense, but still something. pls note that inactivity has a time frame till it comes! It will be more fun even for my enemy (more challenge).

The games will be varied, some will be with mandatory break some with not, players could choose where want play.

Not it must be total suspension of the game, because AI is not a human and there is no warranty good playing by AI.
    • I would agree with a type of temporary cease-fire for a short period of time. Look up the "Christmas Truce" in December 1914 as an example. I could see this as being across all games and only during certain times/holidays.

I could get behind the idea of hospitals as well - build a hospital in "x-y-z" province and units there heal 25% faster than normal? ...maybe 50% faster?
    • Repair Facilities / Hospitals. The units recover somewhat anyway. I guess what your proposing is a way to build a repair facility or a hospital and repair / recover even quicker. Its sorta built into the game already but if something like this were going to be implemented it would have to be in areas not close to any border. The penalty being that you would have to move your units away from any enemy areas or something. So if you had units at 50% and the moving them to a repair/hospital and back again would be faster than if you just kept them there and normal moral/etc of the game builds the units back up.

Don't like the idea of breaks, etc. Part of the game. Some players are more active and can spend more time on the game. The will always benefit from doing so while players that can't spend the same amount of time will suffer. Taking breaks, etc.... Agree that its never going to happen.

Then You don't must choose the game with Break. Like I said, Players could choose game with obligatory break or not, at the beginning.

good analysis on good direction. Hospitals should be very expensive buildings and not easy to obtain, then in view of this, Players could build not many of them. There units could heal faster than normal in main province, not too fast but faster.
    • At the end of the day, bytro has confirmed that they will not add breaks or forced stops. that is not likely to change. this has been suggested before, and come to a similar conclusion. sorry

    • Time zones. When you are active, somebody could be sleeping or at school/work. To allow fairness for everyone, breaks and pauses cannot be implemented.

      Exactly.

As far as hospitals go, units only heal in provinces you control. They're on "R&R' so to speak. Hospitals would be part of this, but WWII was a lot different than say, Korea, when it came to the hospitalization of troops wounded in combat.
Free Time looks good on me
    • I think it's a good idea to implement a kind of pause option, but such an option and every of their use must cost gold,
not too cheap and (perhaps..) for every player on the map and also for members of High Command.

Similar to the known option to quit a map by vote in the News, there could be a button to pause the map (freeze it), maybe for a period of 12/24/48 hours (Christmas dinner, weekend trip, visit to grandma etc...), with predetermined, selectable start times, e.g.: [Pause (freeze in) from tomorrow on day 32, from the time 12/18/24 o'clock ..; for 12/24/48 .. hours], and of course every player has to agree.

So it would be nothing for general maps, but excellent for team-, alliances- or other specialistic maps...
