    • ok so i was playing germany on a historical world map, i was allies with soviet union and britain, britain did not know i was allies with soviet, i was in soviet's coalition, britain was sending 40 troops straight to moskow, so i had to quickly get as many troops as i could to defend moskow for him (as he was away for a day or 2, and at war with britain's coalition mate Japan) i put artilery on the path to moskow, and around 35 troops directly in the 40 troop path
thanks to the artillery i won, then soviet and britain went fully innactive and i got lots of free land
    • I sunk a convoy with the entire Turkish army on it on day six. It had 25 units on board, and I wrecked them with a submarine and then a cruiser.

Casualties since the beginning of this war:
      Turkey - 32,420
      Greater Romania - 1,905

    • My greatest battle was one that I didn't have to fight! Thought outside the box. Had a dude on a 100 map that had half of Asia and well over 200 units. When me and a member of my coalition attacked he made a retreat all over the map to one location! What he did was move over 100 units into a level 5 fortification in the mountains and was quitting and leaving us with that stack to deal with! That stack had 9 railguns, a few commandos, 20+tanks, 20+infantry, 20+AT, 10 AA, another 10 Sp AA, and about another 15 arty. When it went bot that darn thing would be on the move against us forever.
Well, I told my partner to take provinces (along with me) all around that stack and I told him we had to do it immediately and before that stack turned into a bot. One of our partners was landing in India and I told him to NOT attack but to get his AC's up near us and then drop out of our alliance for a day and attack us in those provinces around that big stack!
What happened by having our ally attack us in the provinces that surrounded that big stack was the stack got jailed in and couldn't move. When day change came and the stack changed to bot it was at peace with our ally (who never attacked him). Our ally rejoined the coalition, never attack him, but we finished him off with ease and won the game.

Couldn't you have just nuked it, if it's a single stack?
No. Not with 20 AA units. It would have shot down everything. It was around day 32 I think. No one was near to making nukes but again it wouldn't have mattered with all his AA units.

    • Hello all, this was my greatest battle so far,

My greatest battle was on my first and only US 40 player map. I was playing said map with the friend that introduced me to Call of War, who is sadly not quite as capable as I would like him to be. Sorry if you are reading this dude but its kinda true . I enjoy playing with him none the less since he is the only real life CoW enthousiast I know and he's a good friend (never on the same wifi connection, never managing each others account, we even send each other messeges through diplomacy to keep things fair for other players, yes we play by the rules). It does however mean that I have to take his somewhat brutish style of playing into account when we play a map together. He tends not to plan ahead as much as I do, again sorry dude. But its ture and you know it :P

It was a highly active map, this made it quite difficult and thus very interesting. Within a couple of days there were 8 coalitions, 3 consisting of 4 players, 3 consisting of 3 players and 2 that had 2. I was East Ontario and had active players on every side of me. When looking through the stats of the players around me I noticed there was quite a capable player to my almost direct south west.

This player had a pvp ratio higher than 2 and a fair amount of maps won out of maps played (I don't remember specifics). I asked this player if he wanted to work with me, his response was something along the lines of this '' Sorry I can not join you, my alliance is doing a recruitement on this map. So basicly I'm not soloing the map.'' This raised a huge red flag for me, how many players and possible recruits of said alliance could there be on this map?! I checked player profiles and found 3 players out of the same alliance on this map. All of them decent players, but not as good as the one I aproached.

The next thing I noticed was that none of these alliance players was in a coalition and that they were all surounded by somewhat low level players (between level 20 and 30) that were not part of an alliance. I asumed these players to be the possible recruits since this map had country selection. The possible recruits their movements matched that of the alliance players, in asuming the worst in that they were indeed recruits. So beside the 3 players I knew to be of the same alliance I suspected at least 5 possible recruits.

This posed a huge problem since a normal coalition is no bigger than 4 on this map. I recruited one other player from around me that was quite a good player (pvp stats were 2.3, won about a third of maps played) and alerted him of the alliance menace. This posed some issues since said player did not speak enlish and used google translate..I also recruited a newbie that I figured would do well with some coahcing. So now we had a total of 4 aswel.

Because of the way this map happened I had to do a lot of things simultaniously:
      - Conquer my north east from active players in a coalition of 2 so I could focus south west.
      - Keep my friend alive because we like to play together (I tend to advise him on things here and there, if I would not he would usually be dead within a week) sorry dude, but again kinda true.....
      - protect my south west from the alliance afiliated players that numbered 7 in total (one was further away then the others).
      - Keep my capable coalition buddy alive to my south.
      - Coach the newbie to have him be a viable part of the coalition.

The newbie turned out to be very hard to coach, he just spammed light tanks despite him being advised not to. He did this not very effectively I might add. But he did do a good job distracting the enemy and scouting ahead while he got killed.

My good friend took my advise and actually waited for the right time to strike for a change. :whistling:

My capable coalition buddy kept both himself and the newbie alive.

Through diplomacy, my own and the other coalitions on the map took out the alliance players on the map. They all attacked while my coalition conquered. I supose their recruitement completely failed on this map because of this, sorry... They did however put up a very heavy fight, they knew what they were doing as a group. Killing the player that I aproached in the beginning quickly put an end to this. At the end of it my coalition ended up conquering the alliance group their territory, which made a nice buffer between the core of our alliance and the rest of the map.

So through some luck, help from my coalition buddies and heavy diplomacy it all went our way and we won the map. Fighting active players and entire coalitions all the way to the end. It was awesome.

      Kind regards,

    • When you play as Finland on the World Map and that one Russian player betrays you just to re-enact the Winter War, and you teach him a lesson by taking his capital and inflicting 4 times the amount of casualties on him but can't conquer him due to the fact that Volga Nzhny and Romania have interfered on Russia's behalf while still inflicting 2 times more casualties on your enemies. And after the bloodbath we finally decide to pursue peace after an 8 day grueling war.
