    • Golden Parachute/Crates

The event of a Golden Parachute or Crate comes generally in an adjacent different player held province. The apparent design thought is to encourage players to attack each other.

In fact the opposite has happened as I have seen it in reality. What happens is that the player seeing the event contacts the host player and asks for permission to do a flash war wherein he moves a unit into the province but not at the center, then makes sure the other player is out of the way, declares war, captured the province, gets the reward and heads back. He loads up the host with a set of Peace offerings who reciprocates by having a peace trade with the attacker. This results in a flash war where the province is traded back and forth.

It will still destroy 20-30% of the facilities in the province but many of these provinces are without any facilities at all.

so the result is that player player interactions have been increased but not in the manner that they were clearly intended.

Further the rewards are rather low considering that the design features are only available after over a month of play and the resource rewards, which are nice in the first day are diminished in value relative to the length of the game.

So either an adjustment needs to be made to make the value of the resource higher, or the whole thing should be dumped as a nice try but no cigar.

An addition to what is achievable in the supply crate could be blueprints for tech research not already researched or part researched. There is not enough research teams. Crates could fast forward tech research for a tech being researched so you didn't have to spend any time researching that tech level for that unit. It would be like you have stolen the research from someone else, so you dont have to do the research yourself. This would be like having a third research team on the side that has already done the research for you.
