Those are your battle stats, it implies how many troops you kill for every troop you lose. If you have 1,3 you are playing good, if you have more then 2 that means you are a strong and dangerous player. If you have 0,60 it means you don't really understand the game mechanics.
Usually to get a high K/D ratio you need to try not to lose a lot of troops.

My question is what number is the "troops"? Is it a single unit (which we know isn't just one troop).
In other words, if my kills is 2100, exactly 2100 what? It can't be casualties because that's individual soldiers and I've killed a lot more than that.
I'm assuming it's the actual units. 2,100 sounds more reasonable based on how many games I've played.
I understand what the ratio is, just not where the numbers actually come from is all.

It's calculated with the manpower value. Infantry is 1300, artillery 1000, Light Tank 625. So if your enemy loses an infantry and you a light tank in battle that means even though you both lost one unit you will still have a K/D ration of 2BMfox

So it's based on the value assigned. Is there a list of values of all units?- Ozzone

It can be confusing, so I will try and simplify:
Combat results reported in the newspaper are reported in terms of the manpower required to produce those units. You can find this value for each unit by looking in the production menu or the research menu.
For statistics and achievements the number is the individual unit.
So when you produce one infantry unit it counts as one unit, but it takes 1300 manpower and will count as 1300 casualties in the newspaper, however, it only counts as one unit lost in your kill/death ratio in your statistics.War is a game that is played with a smile. your k/d is very simple to work out its your kills/ losses so u kill 5 lose 1 you have a kd of 5 you kill 10 lose 2 also a kd of 5 its very simple really this thread has complicated it massively. I dunno where your looking but its all on same page. For instance im currently running a k/d of 11.22 thats 101 units kolled for 9 losses 101÷9=11.22

you will notice you have a k/d stat vs ai, and a separate one for human players. when you see those crazy k/d stats you are most likely looking at an arty spammer that likes to play against ai. if you know certain factors like the attacker/defender mechanic, the home defense bonus, and use forts, its easy to get that kind of stat. it was usually found to be a player that started a new account after learning the game, then built up his borders and declared war on the ai so the ai charged the player's artillery, whilst the player took advantage of forts, terrain, and home defense.
I think the record for this effective and highly boring strategy was like 42:1 if I remember.

Where exactly do they come from? Are these total units and not casualties as implied?
