      Update- game #….109

A convoy of 13 units sunk a battleship. That makes no sense. One attack from a battleship – regardless of level – should sink any unescorted convoy.Really – any naval vessel should be able to sink an unescorted convoy –regardless of what’s on board the boat – they’re in storage.Short of a few guys with rifles – it’s not like you can pull an artillery unit out of the cargo bay to hit an attacking destroyer.

      • Transport ships shouldn’t include the hit points/ attack points of the units on board. It’s a boat, carrying stuff across oceans & seas.It should have its own stats – if it goes down – so it goes for all units on board.Transport ships are always a risk – and up to the player to determine how to use them.
        • Quick and fast – blitz style
        • Saft and protected
      • The human/population cost is too high.
        • I like the concept of units not auto upgrading with levels
        • I like the idea of focusing different types of units in each city
        • Existing units not auto leveling up with research – well sucks, but makes total sense.
      • MANPOWER – costs for everything are too high.Granted we don’t have to feed them on the 1.5 map – but when you make people a research requirement & you need them for everything you make or build – it touches a bit too close to historical accuracy.
        • THESE ARE Civilians- All sides of WWII used and abused them. You have made people the key to all buildings, units, research, - well everything. However, players no longer have to feed civilians, or care about their morale – so how does this work?Forced labor?
        • What about the people? This is an element I love about the game. Keep the people happy, and the war machine keeps running smoothly.Without that – it’s just tanks, guns and points.
        • I suggest you send it back to Goods. No moral issues there.
      • Upping the cost for spies, golding out units, ect – all makes sense. It was too cheap.
      • On Countries – equal?
        • One of the best parts of even a basic 22 map is that all nations have their unique resources – so players can either go with what they want – or try a new nation that forces them to play a different way.
          • If Bytro implements this equality in resources, I’d suggest it for random nation assignment, rather than free country selection maps.

But, that’s a tactical decision for the player.

Convoys do have attack power, but the only way to find out is to see the convoy stats.

Lets say that they are all Level 1
      BattleshipTransport Ship
      Attack Counter210.3
      Defend Counter210.3

Looks like a lot of difference right? BUT the health counter is all the 13 unit that you have together. Which is way more. Also, it depends on the transport ship level.

Lets say level 1 Battleship against a L 4 transport ship. The attack counter is just a difference of 0.1 and has attack counter of 0.2 to submarines. So it really depends because of the unit they have as HP in the convoy of 13. If you think it is completely wrong, you can submit a bug report OR you can check out dxcalc.com/cow to see wether you can win.

Yes, you cannot take the artillery out, you can see all these information from the unit stats.

First, it is completely impossible to have no attack counter on transport ships. No, it is not just a boat. All transports ship during the world war 2 are armed. As you can see, they have models Eg. Monte class. This means that they have referral to something. At least the units on board have handguns, they can shoot at the people manning guns in the battleship. Also, if they are fast, battleships cannot easily destroy them. Imagine a convoy of fast boats swarming around you and shooting at every alive human on the battleship...

Yes, the concept of not auto upgrade is underway but because of the protest against call of war 1.5, the developers are having immense pressure on all these. It will take months for 1.5 to go underway. A lot of players do not like it because units will get messed up with different levels and some people want to make this game easier for not having auto upgrade so that all they need to do is to research. (Which is only benefiting themselves.)

Manpower is pretty balanced for me.I think the cost isn't that high. Sometimes, you can produce units with less manpower. Eg. Stop mass producing infantries. Also, if you are staying in a country the whole game, you will eventually run out of manpower. I am not sure about not needing to feed the population but you do not have unit upkeep anymore which from what is see, is the way Bytro wants to balance the game. Notice that there is both unit upkeep and population as a different factor that affects food. As for your second point, we have morale over here so that making people happy is morale.

They do have random nation assignments for non-bytro created games. It is only a choice. But I think you should have both random and free selection. Also, equal resources is not correct because each country has different population to feed due to size and unit amount from the beginning. It will also be unrealistic to have that.

Why up the cost for spies? You only have 1 spy and to be honest, you are supposed to have many divisions of them if you are U.S, Britain or the USSR. One spy shouldn't cost so much because many people do not have that much salary even now.
