    • Add Engineer Unit to Infantry category

Engineers played a vital role in World War Two, the Americans used Engineers to quickly build airbases on recently taken islands, the Russians used Engineers to quickly create extensive fortifications that won them the Battle of Kursk. Just two examples and we can already see the significant role they played. In Call of War, Engineers speed up the build speed of the providence they're in, but strictly military buildings, infrastructure, industry, aircraft and tank factory's wouldn't be effected. These Engineers can also give a minor boost to other units when stacked in an army, they repair broken vehicles, weapons, and equipment, instead of healing units, they prevent casualties, making vehicles (tanks, SPG's, SPAA, etc.) less likely to be destroyed. Engineers would greatly speed up the construction time of barracks, fortifications, air fields and bases (not factories), and naval bases. What do ya'll think?
    • Engineers were usually organized in batallions and attached to divisions; since CoW units are regiments, they are supposed to be inherent. Or maybe we should add reconnaisance, signals, and bakery units as well?
When the fake daddies are curtailed, we have failed. When their roller coaster tolerance is obliterated, their education funds are taken by Kazakhstani phishers, and their candy bars distributed between the Botswana youth gangs, we have succeeded.

      Nobody said that they did.

In case you have not noticed, buildings can be constructed anywhere at any time in this game. Certainly these projects are undertaken by engineers, but there is no need to move that specific unit around the map, much the same way that it is not necessary to move a transport ship around to allow units to move across the water. Certain tasks are automated instead of requiring additional levels of complexity.

If you are going to add a unit for construction and maintenance tasks, you need to balance that with units that provide food and shelter for the troops, units that move supplies around, and so on.

Yeah, a detachment. There should be some sort of unit that helps cook. But I don't think there is in the US/British army during WWII. However, there are detachments of cooks to every Chinese unit.

Any disparagement of that branch of service
is a true indication of complete and abysmal
      ignorance of military science.

    • It might be a small story and might deviates from the theme, but the expression “ engineer ” might be inaccurate.
In the current context, I feel that it is better to make a distinction.

There are ( Assault ) pioneer and sapper at least.

Sappers serve very exclusive and technical task in a relatively safe area.
And pioneers as called often “ combat engineer ” serve easy but dangerous task, such as eliminating IEDs, barbed‐wire entanglements ( in places where they might be shot ), and landmines.
