On the 22-player map, one of the northeastern provinces of Greece is shown as "Larissa," which is the largest city in the Greek administrative region of Thessaly. The COW province of "Larissa," however, includes substantially more area that just the actual city of Larissa and the larger region of Thessaly. Moreover, the city of Larissa has no particular significance in the context of the Second World War. No major battles fought there, etc., in 1939-45. But you know what else is part of that larger region shown on the COW map? A little seaside pass called THERMOPYLAE, a name fraught with military, historical, political and cultural significance. Imagine a Europe (and European colonies in the New World) whose culture was not based on classical Greco-Roman and Christian civilization, but on that of Persia and Zoroastrianism. How different the world would be today.

So, how about it, my German friends? How about adding a fun name to the map, one which every gamer would look at, smile, and say, "Oh, my!" every time a COW battle was fought there.
