    • New features and possible improvements

      Hi there,

First of all, thank you Bytro Labs for creating, maintaining and improving the game. Love the game and totally support it. I would also want to contribute to the game and would have a few suggestions for possible improvement. Correct me if these things already exist or if I am missing something since I am quite new to this. Oh well, take it easy on me boys ;) I also went ahead and included @ConsiderThis suggestions to the list.

      Here it goes:

      1. When submarine is fighting enemy ships, it is really hard to find it and click it, I always end up clicking the enemy ship instead.- Is this a bug? Would be nice if this could be improved
      2. It's so easy to loose track of troops in the game. Would be cool if there was a unit list, similar to the province list where one can easily locate each individual unit and where they are currently stationed on the map. Another remedy would be the suggestion of @ConsiderThis that can be found on this forum post New "Settings" Option Suggestion: View Your Own Troops Only
      3. Simulated estimated time of arrival simulation when clicking rocket and hovering over enemy. - I don't know if this was intentionally omitted to make it harder to use the rocket. If yes, then never mind this.
      4. Reduce gold spending to a certain amount? Maybe 20k a day? That would prevent players from simply buying out the game round but still give them a sweet advantage over non-gold spending players. I believe this is the biggest issue right here but of course it is also Bytro lab's bread and butter, but if there could be a reasonable way for gold spending, then, the game would be even more enjoyable and competitive.
      5. Limiting number of alliance members on the map for non alliance games. Happened to me that there are I think around 6 alliance members plus their coalition members. That is an unfair advantage, specially if players go inactive, that would leave the person fighting alone against maybe 10 enemies.
      6. An offensometer? Where one can see the number of offenses one has committed in the game. Maybe through swearing or whatnot. Then, use gold here to buy off those offenses.
      7. When a unit has been defeated we get a notification that the unit has been destroyed by so and so. However, sometimes it's hard to determine where that happened if the territory is huge. Would be nice if it would bring one to the location where it happened when one clicks on the notification.
      8. A function for escorting allies with either navy(ocean) or army(land) units. You could allow them to stack on each other to provide protection when crossing the ocean for example.
      9. When posting as anonymous, it should stay anonymous but, apparently, when declared war upon, the anonymous posts will be displayed under the enemy tab in the news. So, that kinda defeats the purpose of staying anonymous. So, would be nice if the post stays anonymous
      10. Sometimes units disappear on the map and I have to zoom out and zoom back in for it to reappear. - is this a bug?
      11. Another thing, there is an auto-load feature since this is a php game when scrolling through news, which keeps refreshing the page and I end up back at the top of the news. Then I have to scroll all the way down to read. Maybe if this is done with an asynchronous version of javascript it could be omitted?- would be nice if they fix this.
      12. I think you should be able to destroy any of your own buildings at any time. This would imitate real-life options. It is ridiculous that if you are retreating, your enemy obtains access to your structures (albeit with a little damage to repair). A real-life scorched earth policy would allow you to blow-up, burn, destroy everything you are leaving behind so it is completely unusable by the enemy.
      13. One more idea I have is that you should be able to keep some sort of list of players that are on your "shit list" so that if you bump up against someone who dissed you in an earlier game you will recognize them. Or for that matter on your "good list". Even better would be if somehow the game compared players in your new game against your list and puts a small icon next to that player as positive relations or negative relations.

I guess you could do this on your own with pen and paper, but an in-game feature would be much better. You might also me able to simply remember someone's unique handle if you've bumped into them before. But quite a few players come in the format "user1234567" and those are hard to identify as someone you've seen before.- a remedy to the "user1234567" nametag could be to add a nickname which will be displayed for oneself only. Sort of as a personal reference.

That's all I could think of for now
      Cheers!

    • 1.sometimes do that too....just try a few timed
2.you can see how many units you have on the diplomacy tab
3.has not had this problem before
      4. has beeen suggested before
      5.I agree with this one
6..well if they use offensive language too mch just report them and they might be banned
7.something like that wasjust suggested on another thread.
    • @RiverWolf74:

Thank you for giving a summary of what has been done and what hasn't :)

      1. Yea, this can really get annoying sometimes. Would be great, if they could fix this somehow. Maybe, when clicking on it they give the pop option whether to select the enemy or the own troops, similar to the mobile version.
      2. I can't find this feature in the diplomacy tab. All I see is the countries, their points, etc. Could you point me in the right direction? Maybe have a screenshot for me.
      3. Well, this is not really a problem, but would be a nice future addition to the rocket. Because as of now, it leaves me kinda guessing how long until impact until I actually launch the rocket. So, I missed alot of airplanes returning to refuel at the airbase because of this. Lost a few rockets too because I had to do some trial and error hehe.
      4. Great. Good news.
      5. Yup.
      6. Well, this is more for the people who do the swearing and not for the ones who get offended. So, the ones who do commit offenses can buy back their good standing with gold. Similar to the practice of indulgence in the middle ages, wherein the church charged its members a substantial fee to absolve them of sin.
      7. Awesome! Yea, this would be good. Looking forward to this being implemented.
    • for the diplomacy are you playing on desktop or mobile
if you are on desktop click the little i on the bar of a country. it should be at the very right
on mobile just click the bar of the country that you want to see and some stats should appear.

you will only be able to see the amount of units of your own country and countries you have share map with or spies in :)
    • No, just for your own units. Because there is a time when ones conquests get too big and it is hard to get a good overview of where things are. That way it would be easier also to upgrade units (for 1.5 version). One would be able to see unit strength, name, location and whether to upgrade or not. Similar to other strategy games like total war, iron hearts, europa universalis, etc.

    • 1) Yeah - I agree.

      2) With respect to issue #2 - losing track of your troops - here is something I posted a couple months back:

New "Settings" Option Suggestion: View Your Own Troops Only

      May 21st 2020+3
In advanced stages of the game, with each coalition nation having perhaps 50-100 units or more, it is very difficult to find only your own troops to consider your moves. Because coalition membership automatically comes with "shared map" you see all of your units as well as other member nations' units. Suppose you are all advancing toward a goal and your units begin to approach one another, it is quite common to see enormous numbers of troops in one area - but to identify only your own in order to issue orders is a difficult task; you have to click or hover around to see what troops of yours might be idle or in need of redirecting. I am suggesting a new button in the "Settings" column on the right hand side of the screen (the collapsible settings) that toggles on/off "View only your own troops." This would allow players to see only their own troops during an order-issuing phase, and then return to viewing all coalition troops for overall game viewing. What do you think? Shilleywater, taylorwohlt and zecevi123 like this.

      7) Yes, absolutely. It already does that for province gains and losses - takes you to the province. I don't know about taking you to the "location that it happened" that might be a programming nightmare, but at least taking you to the unit that killed your unit so you know who it was and approximately where the battle was depending on how long it has been since the event occurred and you checked your Front Report.

      9) Why have anonymous posts at all? This is where a lot of the garbage, trash talk takes place that would be nice to eliminate from this game. I get real tired of the childish banter. You wouldn't be able to post anonymous articles in a real-life journal. If you have something to say you should be willing to put your name behind it or it probably doesn't need to be heard by the community.

      11) Same here. I don't know the solution, but it is annoying.

Awesome suggestions! I agree with everything except for the anonymous post part. Of course there are misuses for it and I admit I have done so too, but it if used right it can tip the war to ones favor. I personally think it is awesome because it gives room to plot and scheme by creating rumors and to create tension among neighbors that are already on edge. Not only that, it also allows the possibility to send anonymous private messages to other nations to, for example, warn them without them knowing who sent the message or without spies finding out.

Moreover, If you don't mind, I'll add the ones you suggested to the list to keep it all organized.
    • There are rules of conduct in the game, and under no circumstances will I allow these rules to be broken for any amount of gold.
