      Patch Notes - 2020-07-28

      Attention, Generals!

While the next release for Call of War is already in preparations, we took the time to take care of some issues that bothered you recently and that we wanted to implement with today’s patch.

Please find the complete list of this update below.

      Bug fixes:

      • We resolved an issue that prevented range units to attack units hidden in fortresses automatically.
      • We fixed an issue that allowed game admins of system generated game rounds and events to remove some players from the game.
      • We resolved an issue that prevented the province administration button from being displayed when playing the game with the Safari browser on MacBook Air.

We hope you like these bug fixes and stay tuned for our next release that will bring more exciting updates to Call of War!

      hi
    • Nice patch.

I've seen many times mods or experienced people explain to newcomers that the admin power was useless or an outdated function, but that was absolutely not the case. By expelling inactive players post Day 9 ( last day to join matches in most game modes ), one can prevent inactive players from coming back, effectively eliminate threats from the board, force others players to engage with relentless enemies with whom they cannot negotiate ... all to drastically reduce the level of threat they would face themselves if timed correctly.

Once someone figured out how to use this power, they often and easily exploited it to benefit themselves or certain players over others. And if you were not the game host, you could likewise persuade the host to do this if it would be to your benefit. So for the sake of fairness and competition it's great this loophole got closed.
We're always looking for top players to play together and learn from. Apply to Tokugawa Bakufu ( alliance code : KIOTO ) if you are a like-minded individual and wish to improve your game.

Whenever feasible, one should always try to eat the rude.
