    • AI should be allowed to respond

Call of War is meant to be a fun game, placed in the 20th century. However, for some new players, it may be hard to socialize with others on their map, not knowing who is human, and who is a bot. Coding AI to respond to players in diplomacy can benefit COW because:

      1) The player doesn't feel lonely, and doesn't feel like he's only here to fight AI who are designed to kill him.

      2) The player has the ability to socialize a bit more, and be the little dictator he wants to be, going around pressuring countries, rather than a show of force which can cost the player valuable units.

      3) The player, along with violent actions, can also show peaceful actions - and instead of attacking countries for a certain territory, can trade for it.

      Notes:

      1) While AI have been coded to detect war, and when a country invades, it doesn't really do anything else. Players basically fear AI, and going to war with humans can sometimes be difficult considering borders.

AI can be coded to greet players by their rank in country (i.e General Secretary Alex), or ask if they would like an alliance. This way, players feel more comfortable while playing, knowing they have an AI on their side.

      2) While players can talk with humans that are in their server, humans can have different reactions from AI. Along with that, this is a good bridge to single-player games if they are ever added or if they are already in game.

      3) AI, along with being coded to talk, can be coded to detect good trades, bad trades, and violent and peaceful messages, so players do not take advantage of the AI.

We have all been in a situation where we wanted a certain territory, but AI controlled it. You couldn't talk with the AI, could you? You had to sacrifice part of your army, while you could have traded for it.

AI being able to detect good and bad trades could also give the player a little tutorial on trading. For how much a city is worth, or a regular province.

Yes this could be possible. However, it has to be multiple choice like system when the player messages an AI. The AI can only respond with limited replies. Or the coding will be insane to implicate into the AI.
Agreed. And perhaps you could only send certain messages? Perhaps ones asking it to move troops away from your border or reassuring them of good relations. Perhaps you could also province and resource trade with them but at a high price.

I do agree that the bots are very hostile and it is much harder to get good relations with them than it is to appease them. The bots should be much more lenient and giving them share map should have more effect.
