In non-classic games, units don't start to die until the whole stack starts to reach a critically low level of HP.
This is all fine, but super-weakened units:
- Still cost as much as a full sized unit in maintenance,
- Cost as much as a full size unit in upgrade
- Take 1 slot in combat out of 10,
- Goes slower,
it would be great if I was allowed to consolidate units, eg make 6 units at 50% HP into 3 at 100% HP. Currently, I have stacks of 9 very weakened units that I don't want to merge with "fresh units" because it would be 10 very weakened unit, and that of course I don't want to upgrade.
The results is that there are units I am actively looking to "kill" to free the maintenance cost. There are battles in which I am cheering for the other side. That should not really happen.
Else, at the minimum, decrease the maintenance cost (not necessarily upgrade cost) pro-rata to the HP left.
