Does anyone actually know how this is measured? I would assume 1 ton is equal to 1 unit of a resource and it doesn't take into account daily consumption, but it would be pretty ridiculous to measure cash and manpower in tons, so are they included in the newspaper?

I added up my daily production excluding manpower and cash, and they were way below the number recorded in the newspaper. The closest I got to the newspaper was adding up every resource, including manpower and cash, and then subtracting the daily consumption of every resource.
