    • I don't know how many people have even entertained the thought of creating their own world and putting it down in words, but I would like to see what interests you if you were to write your own story. Is it the plot, the characters, the worldbuilding, or something else?

Personally, I find a negative character progression (or whatever that's called) very interesting. Basically, it's where a character slowly regresses in character and personality, extremes being starting off as the protagonist and ending up as the antagonist. On the other side of the spectrum, the existence of a romantic interest just for the sake of being there and not being of any necessity to advance the plot is quite frustrating for me. It's almost as if friendship doesn't exist in the story - if you become friendly to someone, you automatically get into a romantic relationship with them.

If it is possible, I want to read something like a person slowly turning insane because of his/her tenacity and perseverance to face any obstacle in front of him/her. Or maybe a story of a person reminiscing the times he/she spent with her now gone/deceased friend. Or even a story about an aged war veteran trying to explain war to a newer generation who has forgotten all the horrors of war itself after a long period of peace.

Now, I ask: what do you like/dislike in fiction, and what ideas do you have if you were to write your own?

I know a certain someone, maybe i can ask him to make a plot such as this..

You must LOVE "Waltzing Mathilda"! It's not a story but a song, but one of the greatest lyrics ever on exactly that. If you don't know it, try the version by the Pogues.

Oh and i have created a world called Demi-World, written a history of wars on it!
Here is just the Norseland War(by the way, i wrote this when i was 9, soooo):
      The Norse/Norseland War

The Socialist Union consisted of SIRA (1,200,000), Kazestan (3,500,000), Sia (700,000), Stamborough (3,700,000), and the Soran Empire (10-17 million). All were former GSU nations, missing Sandorra which was under the Madian Empire.

Under Saratovs a force of 2,500,000 heavily mechanized troops of the Elite Socialist First Army poured into the Pertland, and with the ME there already automatically war is declared. The Madian Armies in Pertland launched 2 or 3 artillery barrages with 3,500 Rocket Artillery but quickly leave inducing just over 3,600 casualties and leaving the Pertland to be defended by Doran Militia Armies with only 700,000, underequipped and in freezing conditions. The Militia forces put up severe resistance and are organized into 3 armies, the Doran First, Second and Third Militia Armies, each consisting of more than 200,000 men. Meanwhile Lithuanians and Dorans engage in heavy fighting as they try to keep the SU from Lithuanian beaches. They will be pushed back nonetheless, with a Socialist policy in place that despite putting enormous strain on its own armies, hits the enemy harder. In the hastily dug trenches, Dorans cannot start a counteroffensive, constantly pinned down. One is planned though, based on the supposed 1,600 tanks ready in 3 months. In the Pertland, 98,000 Doran casualties after a savage winter Battle of the Devil’s Ridge (a strategic frozen mountain/hill that had kept the SU for some time), and in total a death toll of 400,000 see the SU advance further yet, meanwhile in Sandorra 300,000 SU Commandos have beaten the Madians in the mountains. General Rusedski’s southern drive proved extremely successful, and trapped at least 15 pockets of Madian troops, wiping out well over 722,000 men. His forces swung southward from the marshland in Sandorra’s north west, took some undefended villages and then swung sharply left to the mountains before wiping out Madia’s eastern flank and continuing on to the capital. With Sandorra’s oilfields lost, only 3,500 Tanks can actually be mobilised in Madia’s north western flank, therefore with quick anti-tank action they are driven back. “Saratovs” is launched to try to quickly advance into Madia, an invasion seeing 2,000 aircraft and well over 7,000 tanks, trying to go through the harder terrain to catch Madia’s rear. Meanwhile in Lithuania the Socialists have induced nearly 1,500,000 casualties and are extremely close to the beaches. Yet, they have put such severe strain on themselves that 2,500 tanks are immobilized or crippled as well as 700,000 casualties and exhaustion. Therefore, some 320,000 Dorans land in time to start to beat back the exhausted Socialist soldiers. In Madia the SU loses the Battle of Napal, an important western city. The Battle was very severe yet fought in urban terrain giving Madia a good advantage. The loss of Napal means the communications, as well as supply lines are severed between the SU forces in Eastern Madia and western Lithuania. It also means the loss of its main spearhead of 120,000 men, yet overall the ME loses 152,000 men. In Lithuania 800,000 men retreat to the Mologovs Line to try to stop the Doran advance as the SU loses connection to Lithuania and goes through a military disaster. The Madian Empire quickly evacuates Holland to try to save 120,000 men but fails. 20,000 are captured and 76,000 killed. The steady advance through Central and Western Madia is thanks to the severe winter landscape. 2,200,000 Madians are fighting at the front, many die frozen deaths. Supplies run short and they are forced to constantly retreat. The Madian Air force remains on the ground to try to save its forces. Of the 2,200,000 men at the front, with no air support and facing an enemy of 9,000,000 men and over 15,000 tanks, some 1,160,000 die. However, slowly Madia plans a great summer counteroffensive, with 3 phases. Through secret tunnels 250,000 men are to pop up behind the front and cause confusion as the ME armies suddenly attack. The MAF then gets involved, along with some armoured forces set to trap SU armies and isolate Holland. The ME hopes to at least induce 500,000 casualties and advance 500 miles. And so it is that Operation Rattlesnake is launched. However, the existence of the tunnels is known to the SU, and so the 250,000 are sent to their deaths. The sudden outburst from the lines themselves just induces barely 15,000 casualties and suffers 100,000, before being forced back to the ridges and defences. The Air Operation does do some damage to supplies and causes 12,000 casualties. The Madian Armour is the one to achieve the most, it traps 5 armies, and slows the advance by 3 months, however with no more support it is forced to retreat. The Operation is a disaster and induces just 60,000 casualties but suffers 150,000. Overall it gains some 3 miles. However, it does slow the SU and that helps as the DE breaks through the SU defences having been further reinforced. It strikes the SU and creates a massive bulge, causing over 1,300,000 casualties, going through destroyed Pertland and reaching the SU border, where despite heavy fighting, with superior numbers, power and organization, it punches through. The Madians try another offensive before winter and succeed (Mainly for the fact that the SU was retreating), reinforcing their position and loosening the noose, as well as gaining the much wanted Ruane Mountain Range and inducing 20,000 casualties. The GP joins the war and supplies the ME with oil, food and supplies, causing the launch of Operation Anchor which has some 9,500 tanks, and takes back Sandorra and Holland (The SU put up a strong fight and disabled 3,500 tanks). The casualties to the SU are massive (1,100,000 in the initial attack and later an additional 700,000), and slowly the war evens up. Eventually though, both sides ceasefire, not actually making peace, instead putting the war on pause, with the final attack delivered by the SU with 3,500,000 men to take the Pertland. And that is the “end” of the Norse/Norseland War.

I read the lyrics of the song, and... thank you a lot for this recommendation! Without the music, this is basically an extremely well-written poem, a work of art. Just... wow (I wish I could write as well as that).

This actually feels like reading an overview of a war (the references lol). I wonder if you ever thought about going deep into details, maybe going through certain battles? To be honest, I can't imagine this being written by a nine-year-old, excluding the naming of nations lol.

I would assume you can, unless Bytro says otherwise. By the way, I also have thought of a single world, but I still haven't fleshed out the worldbuilding (even though this idea has been forming for years in my head).

    • Actuallu i have gone indepth. That was when i was 9. I have deeply created Demi World . Its actually pretty cool.
      What refrences?
And whowh u have no idea how many wars ive written Demi World has a world war every week (not literally)
      Superpowers (dont judge the naming!)
      Red Union
      Armstris Empire
      Alman
      Soran Empire
      Madian Empire
      Mesra
      Pegronian Union

Currently the Socialist Union is dead. Madia is in the hands of a 21 year old emperor and soon a war will occur.
Pretty soon the Westland ( continent) will engage in the Titanic Wars 3 years later, current year is 1911. My history starts 4000 BC

I created one at around 5th grade and it pretty much consists of a British empire like country named after myself going around bludgeoning the countries of my friends. We made a game out of it in which everyone could draw their country on a map and choose three special abilities for their country.
    • Exactly what me and my freinds did! I was Doran Empire!
How about we r3create the game? Let's play!
