As introduced in the Five New Nations update, Peru, along with Venezuela, the Netherlands, British Egypt and South Africa have been added as playable nations. This thread will be the first to take a lead for one of the two new nations.
So, Peru uses the Axis Doctrine, and has 5 urbans and is the ONLY playable South American nation to start with cities on the Pacific. So, on day one, try to get another South American nation to ally with you, early game, Peru, as like all the other nations in South America, start off vulnerable. Remember that building and upgrading industry and its local variant will be key to success with nations like this one. To start off, your best chance to grab an extra city by around day 3 is Ecuador.
Produce on day 1 and 2 and have about half of your armies (or more) on the Ecuadorian border, on day 3, it's time to strike, take all provinces strategically in one day before taking Quito to avoid the chance of occupied provinces rebelling. Then the next invasion will depend, if your ally is Venezuela, go South to Bolivia. If you ally is Brazil, take note of where their armies are stations or ask via diplomacy chat. In the case your ally is Argentina, go prepare at Colombia (all of these are mostly optional, but these are the imo the best option without splitting stuff, which is not a 100% chance to get cities as your ally might just take them all or they gain more by doing less fighting while you lose like a few units to get some useless provinces).
On day 6-9, attacking whichever nation selected depending on your ally should occur. on day 9-12, your attack should be over and then if there is more nations to take, you might as well take/split them with your ally to control all of South America, now you have a few choices, either, go into Central America and make your way up, go into the Caribbean to make your way up, go make landings in Africa or Europe or go make landings in Oceania and Asia (Remember than you will need a formidable navy for these). At this point, this should be your average big nation gameplay and take/fight your enemies until you and your allies (or if some coa is stronger than you, play it strategically by taking over AI and stuff)win. Remember this is a loose suggestion on how to play Peru based on my experience playing as Peru and other information I've gathered.
