    • Which Branch Do You Invest in the Most?

What branch of the military do you invest in the most in Call of War? 50
      1.
        Army (24) 48%
      2.
Air Force( secret branch included) (19) 38%
      3.
        Navy (7) 14%
What branch of the military do you invest in the most in Call of War? Please explain your reason.
    • I'm definitely army. Air force can be taken care of with anti air, and while navy is something important, I usually just get large stacks of battleships, top level destroyers to detect subs, and mostly use them to escort convoys. Missiles are useless if you have brains, keep your army in small stacks and delay then strike a target so they need quite a lot of shots to take down all units. Usually, I have a stack of Mot. infantry, Heavy/Medium tank, and mobile AA, if important, no more than 2x the unit. Also, paratroopers and commandos for stealth and capital steal.
If you say there are no limits in the world, why do you say to keep trying until you get something right? There is no limit of wrong answers, you're wasting your life away for a goal you can never reach. :00002178:

I agree with you Karl but I think Army is the most Important because that is where you do the conquering on Land, obviously it helps to have air and naval superiority (it can decide wars) but the army is the most important simply for the reason that you conquer Land not the Air or Sea.
the first postof this thread does not factor in the Fact that Certain scenarios beget a certain style of development for optimal performances. Doctrines are a factor as well, doctrinal buffs and strategic 'constraints' can force the player into investing in certain Armed force branches.

    • If you're a landlocked country, of course you wouldn't invest in navy. If you're fighting someone across the ocean from you, you'd invest in navy more than you would army. It all depends on the situation.

@Spite_Is_Right tell 'em what's right with you're minimal casualty policy.
Spite uses tons of bombers as Allies, interceptors on patrol and Anti Air can Atleast repel These planes from attacking the stronger stacks.

As trump says, it really depends on your position. As France, Italy, UK, Netherlands, US, Brazil, or Japan, I would get a good navy. They are essential in defending, and can assist in attacks. If playing USSR, Sweden, Germany, Romania, Persia, Canada, India, Mexico, or China, navies aren't required until later stages of the game. All you need is arty layering the second chunk of land surrounding your empire/republic/whatever you call your nation. We should keep in mind that navy is to stop people from sending battleships or convoys to attack our mainland/island, not to bombard land units (usually)
    • Army because you cannot hold ground without them. The only way a player may focus on air and naval forces when the player is using an island nation. Therefore, I stand with army! Thank you for reading my asnwer. :D

Also, if I were using an island nation I'd shy away from artillery. Battleships can bombard and are way powerful therefore the use of artillery is being redundant. I'd rather simplify my production lines in order for better control, production and further upgrades.

    • I think the army will be for everyone's top most investments since they are the quickest, easiest to use plus you have to have land units to capture provinces - no brainer on this one.

However, if given a choice of resources, I do invest more so (per capita) in air. Not enough players know how to contest air so I go all out.
    • I use all of them. I go heavy on air because players never have (enough) AA or air force. You need an army as countries don't capture themselves. To have a balanced army I use both unarmored, armored, ordonnance, tank and secret. Finally I use a lot of navy both to secure my territory from sea and to escort the army to invade another continent.

We legit were on the same brainwave.
    • You cant have it all, Unless you have allies doctrine you should focus on 7-8 units later. In the start you can research more L1 units. There is no point to go wide and have low level units. This said look at what you need. Ac for scouting and fast conquest, (one of them) TD, MT or HT. I prefer TD, HT cost to much and MT is only viable if Axis (for me). You need AA to counter air and defend troops pn the move. You need subs as scouts and later as an support for your naval bombers.
In the air branch you need Int and Naval bombers. If you doing good add Attack bombers (Tac bombers are also an option, i dont use them much). From the secret branch you need RRguns, rockets are situational as airfield killers, but not really needed if you have your air right. The inf branch is worthless and only takes reserch time away from more important stuff.
