• Glider infantry

I would like to suggest the glider infantry as a new unit in Call of War. This unit would be part of the airborne troops alongside the paratroopers. Gliders were widely used in World War II. In 1940 the Germans attacked the Belgian fortress of Eben Emael with gliders surprising the defenders with minimal casualties. On September 12, 1943, gliders were part of the rescue of Benito Mussolini, who had been arrested after the Italian capitulation. In 1944 glider troops were used in the Balkans to attack the partisan headquarters in an attempt to kill Tito.
The allies also made use of gliders in the invasion of Sicily (disastrously many fell into the water and drowned, suffered from poor planning), d-day, operation Market Garden, crossing the Rhine.
Benefits:
-Gliders have the advantage of not dispersing their infantry unlike paratroopers since everyone stays on board the glider during landing. So there is no mobilization/meeting time.
-They can carry additional equipment on board such as light cannons
-Since they don't need an air base to land, they can land in the middle of a road surprising the enemy
Disadvantages:
-They are vulnerable to fighters and have low hp.

-They are practically unusable after landing.
