As this is a World War II simulation, I believe that since nuclear weapon technology was in it's infancy, that it should be removed as the game makes it possible for anyone to have them........please feel free to comment here what you think.

I'm not a big fan of nuclear and I never use it. So I won't mis it would nuclear be removed.
However, as nuclear technology only is available from day 20 onwards it is considered to be a late game unit. As the nuclear race started at the end of the war it makes sense to have nuclear in the game.BMfox

Maybe use it the "special" scenario's like Antarctica or the event maps.....but not in the "basic" ones

Day 20 is about 1945-1950. The US had already researched (and dropped) two Nukes by them. Therefore, it is historically accurate and shouldnt be removedNoob

Why does everybody forget to put polls with their suggestion?Noob

take it out, it doesn't serve any purpose in the game. kind of like cheating. other players are developing forces and making moves and then some knucklehead comes along and nukes them.
-
Nukes aren't that OP. Yes, they can destroy an entire province, but it's just 1. And they take a crazy long amount of time and resources to develop completely. It's not really worth it, other than for intimidation and threats.

it would be historically accurate if a nuclear bomber drop in a city will affected the whole country's morale

Nukes are a post ww2 development mostly.
Since this game is centred around such period, it is within reasonable strategy to the time period that this option be made available, because with a war period, there is most certainly a post war period.

My take on this is that nukes are part of the game and they shouldn't be removed because they add a layer of complexity and give people a great strategy to counter megastacks.
Everyone knows they can be developed. Therefore after circa day 16 (if enemy is Allies doctrine) + 2 days of research + 1 day of production = day 19 or 20 you should be careful.
1) always have enough antiair in your larger stacks to at least defend against a single lvl 1 nuclear bomber (63 HP I believe). People will use military sabotage to find your troops and will bomb you otherwise. Also keep moving troops so espionage is less effective.
Don't put your troops at less than 50 but more than 5 distance from a province centre because the opponent can then just attack the province centre instead of directly hitting your stack with strong AA.
After day 25-30, your enemy might have rockets. If he uses them a lot, just make sure you're using smaller stacks (which makes them vulnerable to bombers though) - and keep moving.
Find out where their secret labs are and sabotage or drop bombs or conquer. Take out their nuclear weapons yourself. Buy up rare materials in the market and sabotage his production of it.
In terms of offensive use: don't waste them, they are expensive. Attack large stacks and maybe large central cities. Make sure the enemy doesn't have enough AA or airforce to intercept your bombers. Sometimes go with 2 bombers for extra HP. Use a lot of military spies to find out about his positions. Don't forget to also keep developing conventional units. Don't overuse or all AI nations will attack you (if there still are many around) due to popularity. The post was edited 1 time, last by Cato der Juengste ().
