    • Separate ranged and close combat damage of units

      Artillery, Rocket Artillery, Railroad gun and other ranged units should separate the amount of potential damage between close combat battles. Convoys should be included too.

      For example, Railroad gun. Railroad gun mixed with other units. It is good while it attacks from afar, but moving(also attacking) is also having the same damage attack from far away even though it is close combat(if is not idling and not defending). Making the ranged units overpowered.

      The description of ranged units says that be aware when fighting close combat units. Instead of be aware encountering close combat units, ranged units are like armored cars with ranged attack, all-in-one.

      So I guess the damage from afar and close combat damage especially ranged units should be separate and different from battle of close combats.
    • You make a few good points here. But, If you think realistically, arty can be used in rather close combat. 5km is more than far enough to make arty useable. As long as you keep it protected from the enemy units on the front lines. I see how this is rather unrealistic in a strategy game like this.

    • The things is... artillery isn't meant for close combat, that's why it has really bad defense stats and no HP. The defensive stats don't matter rather it matters how many time they get to bombard you without actively needing to engage in combat. If that is what was meant here Oo
