    • How about my request that we use Heavy Tanks only? About their firepower, sure, it doesn't really match up to the time, but it sure did the same exact damage in terms of morale
"A knight cannot save the world. They call certain methods of fighting good and others evil, acting as if there were some nobility to the battlefield."

"Honor? Glory? There's no point in speaking to a killer who indulges in such nonsense."

"It's a crime we call victory, paid for by the pain of the defeated"

I did think about this: however, that would mean that Medium Tanks would become obsolete as well.

However, it does make sense that the research and effort going into the tanks. Vote?

And finally, a list of players.

      Turkey- purplepizza117
      Germany- Ellio98
      Sweden- ?
      Austria-Hungary- ADudeWhoDoesThings
      Spain- kingjoe1077
      USA- John pete1
      France- ?
      Italy- Lieutenant Henry
      UK- ?
      Russia- ?

Yes, this does mean that I returned to my faithful Turkish land. It also means that Russia is now free. Please message any people who might play.
      It's been a while
    • I said I'd do UK again.
It seemed like such a waste to destroy an entire battle station just to eliminate one man. But Charlie knew that it was the only way to ensure the absolute and total destruction of Quasi-duck, once and for all.

    • And I vote against banning everything. just ban offensive behaviors for several things (i.e. self-propelleds and light tanks and such) and not make this game a list of deletes and destroys. And in force equivalencies, if we ban all but the fighters, then the air war will have even less significance than the Red Baron's fighter. So I still suggest keeping bombers, but limiting range of attack to a single province out from contiguous (non-broken) owned territory to represent much shorter range of bombing runs in the teens.

    • no rules, to be honest let the game be the game

unless you wanna kick out nukes
but all those rules to big and long

if im playing the game, I cant attack with light tanks, and early on Im stuck with cars
and one car against a light tank

      like thats just my view..

    • He's trying to make the game more of a WWI simulation for the sake of role playing. But I agree about the rules, they're getting to be too many and several are kinda petty. With the timing rules and the forced alliances, it's already the same situation.

But banning so many things gets tedious (though research would be simpler). However, my idea of just setting a few limits on what you can do with normal units seems a reasonable compromise. I still support banning the obvious stuff like Rockets and any nuclear-based.

We get it, they didn't have a lot of stuff that was found in WWII, but they did have the beginnings of much of that stuff. WWI was the proving ground where lots of new ideas of war machines were first tested. Many were junk, but they employed what they could. WWII saw innovation on the backs of millions of slaves in Germany and Russia for example. But the main progress of WWII had more to do with refining the ideas that were invented in WWI.

So, let there be self-propelled guns of the three types. But to represent how primitive the propulsion part was, the compromise is to not use them on offense. I get it, the motors were lousy, the machines were heavy, and the innovation was just beginning. But the guns on them were just as powerful as their non-motorized counterparts. They had a steep learning curve and that is best represented by Bytro's weakening the motorized versions by a little bit. That's good enough.

Let's not strip this game of all the fun just to imitate a different era than it was designed for.

And I'll state it again. I want to be U.K.

      just saw the thread now

prob gonna pass too many rules
tbh there aren't enough rule for this type of period
and its lossy all put together (but then again I've played Mag's RPs and they.... yea...) I can already see some other rules/LS which would help the RP

also, rules around 90% of the time are what keeps the RPs together, take of rules and take out the RP.

    • I guess so, and I just personaly dont want that
      just my view thats all

    • This all sounds awesome, yet how does it work in this game? I've Roleplayed a lot in Supremacy before I decided to leave due to the community being too landgrabby and not enough into the RP.

You can't change flags or names from what I've seen, correct?

Doesn't it seem better for a worldmap too? So people can fight realisticly in Africa, as they did during WW1. I'd love to play Belgium, and it would be possible if it was a worldmap. :P
    • the Old Guard is some of the first RPers ever in s1914

if you want I could make another page to talk about it, don't want to take the chat on this page : )
