Now we have to check each player individually to see in which alliance they belong and remember them to find out if there's any matches. People in the same alliance in the same game are practically allies and it's important to be able to know if there's any.

Put the alliances in the diplomacy list. From that you can see and sort them conveniently to see any matches. At least on PC there's room for another row. Or do you want to keep it as a pro move to look for alliances?

What if they joined same game tl fight each others? That's not a valid reason to highlight alliances, do research for yourself, find that out if you want to, but to expect that they are working together just because they're in same alliance is nonsense.
