    • The Luz Guide on the USSR’s Comintern Doctrine!

Hated Comintern? Well I’m here to change that! :D
      1. Take advantage of your low level units, this means you’ll be able to produce units fast and with a big economy you will recover your amount of resources fast.

      2. Militia is weak but very Useful, the Comintern Doctrine gives Militia a very well needed boost, fighting in mountains and urban provinces will give your militia a big boost on the battlefield. Also you can produce it fast and level it up quick!

      3. Tanks are useful, Soviet medium tanks are OP, they have a production time reduce and 10% more damage against all units. You’ll also want to make higher level tank plants and research heavy tanks as they have 10% more hitpoints and higher damage against all tanks (Excluding Cars and light tanks) and you can have them in the early game making you have an advantage over others fast.

      4. Build and upgrade ordnance units FAST.
Anti tank and artillery are useful for countering tanks when your invaded early game, they also come in level 1 meaning you can make them fast.
Artillery you can produce fast, anti tank you have more damage against all tanks.

      5. You don’t start with much planes but Tat bombers and attack bombers are in high supply, plus you’ll need to build air factory’s in many cities in order to have air superiority when countries move in. Attack bombers are level 2 and with low level planes you can build quite the airforce early game.

      6. When it comes to secret weapons Rocket Artillery (SP or Original) is very good against infantry along with high mobility. But takes some time to make, make higher level secret labs and create some in Siberia while your at it. You don’t start with rockets or anything but you have 1 SP Rocket Artillery in which you should use as it’s your railway gun.

Well that’s all for now folks! Use this guide to assist you when playing the USSR in HWW 1939 :)

    • The most important fact about playing Comintern is that for the first 2-3 days all you need is infantry and artillery, which are excellent and cheap, compared to what others are paying for their units.

This means you only need 1 barracks and 1 ordnance factory. You don't have to spend resources on other research OR other factories! That means all your oil, rares, and most of your steel can go into your industry. By the time day 3 rolls around, you'll have a nice economy, and a large and powerful army that can handle anything your opponents can muster with their puny economies, which have been bled dry by expensive research and expensive factories.

That ability to focus (goods and food go to unit production, everything else goes to industry) is a strategic advantage.

I'm recently starting to study the comintern doctrine better, which I loved a lot before the change the prices in the market, but for some reason I abandoned it, this seems interesting at first it's a bit slow but then from the 4th day onwards with the good economy you can choose which roads to take very quickly. thanks!
